Hidden in the valley and vines, this cute and spacious 1 bedroom/1 bath unit is privately located on our property is perfectly placed amongst the rolling hills and oak trees in Santa Cruz County. With an open concept living room and kitchen, this newly updated space has a walk-in shower, laundry room, and up-to-date appliances. The lovely unit is set in the quiet countryside but is conveniently located just a 10 minute drive from the gorgeous Seacliff State Beach, 5 minute drive from the beautiful Corralitos Wine Trail, 15 minutes from the redwoods at Nisene Marks, 50 minutes from Monterey (the home of the Monterey Bay Aquarium), and 1 hour and 30 minutes from San Francisco. If you are looking to rest your head after a long day of exploring Santa Cruz and the surrounding areas, this relaxing and tranquil homestead is your home away from home.
Children are welcome. Please message if you need a highchair or a pack’n play. Age appropriate toys can be provided upon request.
For your traveling and adventure convenience, we offer a parking pass for surrounding state beaches, state parks, and hiking trails ($150 will be charge if not returned) We also offer two complimentary passes to a nearby attraction and fresh organic eggs from the homestead hens (upon request and when available).

Summary: Plenty of room and supplies for two or more people. The best perk was the filtered water that was provided! We were able to refill water containers with cooled water. Would stay here again if ever in the area in the future.

Summary: Very close to Santa Cruz, Monterey and nice drives along the coast. Also recommend Henry Cowell state park. Host provided state park passes and aquarium passes, which is a really nice bonus! It was nice getting back to a nice quiet spot after spending the day out and about. Felt homey. Spacious enough for a family of 5. Definitely would recommend to others.

Summary: We really enjoyed our time at this unit. The unit sits adjacent to a home but you feel as though you have your own space and privacy. Jesse was really nice, and even left some toys out for our 2-year old that kept her busy. We didn't get to use all of the appliances, but everything is brand new. As the home chef, they have an ample kitchen and all the utensils one could need to cook. You can tell that a lot of thought went into the unit itself as it is completely remodeled and new. The unit is also spotlessly clean which I really appreciate. Perhaps the cleanest rental we have stayed in and we have stayed in many. Thanks again Jesse & Steve we appreciate you being so welcoming.

Summary: My husband an I enjoyed our two night stay in this one bedroom unit attached to a family home. It was private and we took advantage of our deck in the evenings. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. We loved feeding the chickens and eating their fresh eggs. We also appreciated the water filter system. We took advantage of their California pass for the Henry Cowell Park-beautiful hikes through the redwoods. It’s a lovely 15 minute drive into town. The hosts had some work that needed to be done on the property and were more than generous in giving us a discount-a class act. A nice alternative to a downtown stay.

Summary: This sweet, quiet home was perfect for our family of two. We used it for a much-needed spring break and it was a dreamy jumping off place for everything, from hiking in Big Basin to visiting the Santa Cruz boardwalk. We drove down to Monterey for a day at the aquarium, too (thank you for the passes!). The chickens were very dear (and amusing) and the eggs were wonderful. The house is not large, but feels wonderfully spacious, thanks to lots of windows and high ceilings. Thank you for our little three-night respite. We'd love to visit again. <3
