Positive: The beach and use of sunbeds and umbrellas, the snorkelling from the beach, use of paddle boards, nice food and drinks, clean room, friendly staff (particularly those serving food). Particularly enjoyed the evening that a dinner menu was provided to choose from rather than buffet style.
Negative: Hearing the sea outside the room is lovely but it’s extremely loud during the night as there are no actual windows (just blinds and netting). Occasionally the staff communication and organisation was poor, mostly just during check out when the whereabouts of our suitcases was unclear and they were nearly put on a ferry without us.
Summary: Perfect for relaxing on the beach for a short stay.

Positive: The staff were friendly and helpful and went the extra mile to make sure everyone enjoyed their stay, offering activities that might be of interest. The room was pleasant and clean with a nice beachfront view.
Negative: The property is currently essentially a building site. The pool was only just open when we stayed but looked like it wasn’t yet finished. Rubble and building supplies are all over the island & a constant noise of building work being done. We were not put in the room we booked & then had to dispute this until we were refunded the difference, it seemed due to renovation works, the room we booked wasn’t available. Bar & food was the most expensive we experienced in over 3 weeks around Fiji ($12fjd for a bottle of water!)
Summary: Currently a building site - potentially great when finished

Positive: Layback . Friendly staff. Clean facilities . Good entertainment. Good snorkeling off the beach.
Negative: I realise the floor in the dining room was sand, but it made the seats too close to the ground ( if you are a tall person it felt like your knees were up around your waist to eat)

Positive: Beautiful rooms, beautiful views. The staff were so friendly and really made the extra effort to make you welcome and comfortable. The food is nowhere near as bad as other reviews make it seem, it’s nothing exceedingly fancy but it’s good food!! Great snorkelling offshore and the day trips offered were heaps of fun. Good cocktails and drinks, rooms are comfortable. Had an incredible, relaxing holiday and would absolutely return.
Negative: A bit expensive for the ferry transfers and the snorkel trip but again wouldn’t stop me from returning. Some construction going on, no issue with this but good to know if planning a trip.
Summary: Amazing island and staff. I will miss it!!

Positive: As a couple looking for a tropical escape, Beachcomber Island Resort gave us everything we hoped for and more. The island is absolutely beautiful, with the perfect sands, clear water, and sunsets that felt made for two. Snorkeling together just off the beach was a highlight, and the laid-back vibe made it easy to unwind. Our beachfront bure was simple but cozy, with the sound of the ocean right outside. Meals were decent (a bit repetitive), and Wi-Fi was great but dropped out twice, but honestly, we barely missed it. Service is friendly, though occasionally slow. guess thats just part of the island charm. If you’re after luxury, this isn’t it. But if you want connection, nature, and a fun, low-key atmosphere, Beachcomber is a perfect couples’ getaway.
