Positive: It was absolutely perfect. The room was very clean, and although the Star Room didn't have a kitchen, we managed to cook some hot food in the microwave. The location was perfect; we saw the little penguins and the guestbook with guests from all over the world.

Negative: It would be even better to have a red flashlight, so it's easier to see penguins at night.

Summary: Hope to stay a few more days

Positive: We didn't stay here, cause they forgot to tell us they were recladding the place. We only found out on arrival. Though they said it wouldn't make any noise, we didn't want to stay. Having worked in construction for many years, I've never experience silence construction work. If not the work, then the workers will make noise. You cannot expect them to be silent the whole day. We booked for 2 nights and wanted a quiet place to stay. If we were informed before, we could've made other plans. Now we had to find something last minute, which means finding whatever is left available at a high price.

Negative: We received an email afterwards, asking to review our stay....

Positive: everything super. we had the small starfish apartment. if you want a kitchen or bigger, book the other apartments. we had microwave, toaster, cutlery, crockery, kettle, salt, pepper, sugar, coffee and tea. very nice view! cosy, a bit garden. we had everything we needed. host answered questions very soon via message. very nice stay. you can walk to beaches and bicheno town center. very nive shampoo and conditioner

Negative: you can hear steps from the people of the other apartments via the floor. but was ok.

Positive: The beach and surrounding nature were amazing. Seeing the local wildlife, although we didn't see the penguins, we did see their footprints in the sand.
