Every major room has oversized screened french doors that open onto the great tropical outdoors, so you can throw them open and let in the sea air during the day and close the screens at night to keep the bugs out—as you wish.
The airy 1150 square foot space is built for both beauty and comfort, with hand-crafted tropical wood windows and furniture, polished cement and sea stone details, and minimal clutter.

Summary: This property is situated beach front within steps of the ocean. The beach was practically private with the occasional people walking past in the morning or near sunset. The fans in the house work well and there’s also a great cross breeze from the front screen door through to the patio doors. The beds were comfortable and nicely sized. The pool is small but great if you want to sit and cool off. It’s colder than the ocean. We enjoyed a game of Sorry which was on the shelf along a few other games and plenty of books. Keeping in mind that Troncones is a natural and wild place there are bound to be mosquitoes, crabs, insects, etc that make their way into the house, but the screens on the windows and rubber under the doors does minimize that. The house is just far enough away from town center that you can enjoy peace and quiet but close enough for a walk/bike/taxi down the way to the restaurants. Overall we had a great experience and would stay here again. Oh if you plan on cooking don’t forget to bring oil. There is however a large array of vinegar, salt, and pepper.

Summary: We positively loved our stay at Casa Oasis. The house is beautiful and the staff is attentive, friendly, and helpful. The beach access could not be closer. We loved the small on-site pool. The walk to restaurants is under 30 minutes - we had a car, but would definitely have rented bikes for those times when you don't want to walk. The kitchen was well equipped for regular cooking. Even when the other rental units are occupied the property feels spacious and (mostly) private. Look forward to our next visit!

Summary: I stayed for a week in the two bedroom flat. You can't ask for a better location if you're looking for a scenic and quiet stretch of beach. Easy access to town and to the fish and vegetable trucks that roam the street daily. The dipping pool was nice and kept clean. Note that the pool and patio area outside the flat are considered common space so other guests from other units do have access to areas just outside of your bedroom and kitchen. As one might imagine the hot salty air takes its toll on a property like this one so be prepared to look past some rust on appliances and kitchen tools. Having said that the appliances were all in working order. Matilde the housekeeper was nice and kept the place clean - making beds, cleaning floors, and the kitchen, daily. Overall I would recommend this property to a friend or family member considering a stay in Troncones!

Summary: My husband, daughter and I stayed for 1 week at Casa Oasis in the 2-bedroom flat. It was absolutely beautiful! The beach right in front of the house was not crowded (actually there was nobody around!!) and we had a great time body boarding with the boards available at the house. It was about a 25 minute walk down the beach into town for restaurants and a market. We also bought chicken from the polleria which was a unique experience in itself. We took the combi into town for 10 or 15 pesos, and everyone in town seems to run a taxi service so that was pretty convenient! The kitchen was really well stocked - we made pina coladas in the blender! The plunge pool was just perfect and our daughter could have fun in it without us needing to go down to the beach all the time - we could relax on the terrace while she swam. This vacation home and the town felt really safe and we really were able to relax. It would be pretty tough to beat our experience at Casa Oasis. Franca was so nice to deal with, very friendly and responsive, and she sent us updates leading up to the trip. Benito was nice and welcoming on arrival, and we had Ivan pick us up from the airport and take us to Zihuatanejo for groceries before driving us to the house in Troncones (Franca arranged all of that for us). Everything was perfect. The town feels really authentic and it was exactly the type of holiday we were looking for. The fish truck was great but we only managed to get fish once because we went out at some point during the day - there isn't a set time for the truck driving by, so you would need to stay home or get lucky to 'catch' the fish. The black cat spent a lot of time with us.

Summary: My boyfriend and I stayed a week in the one BR penthouse flat upstairs, and then when his mother arrived, we stayed a week in the two BR flat downstairs. Both were fantastic and had unique qualities to make our vacation perfect and memorable. We highly recommend Casa Oasis to anyone looking to escape the fast-faced world and throughly relax. If you do need to connect, the internet was fairly reliable and fast enough to check your email, read the paper or look up local information. The panoramic views from the open-air living space in the upstairs 1BR apartment were out-of-this-world. When Matilde, the housekeeper, first showed us upstairs upon our arrival, we couldn't believe we had all this space and these views to ourselves! The layout was great and we loved the kitchen. You can watch the pelicans soar by up and down the waves, horses and walkers walk by on the beach, incredible sunsets, and feel a sense of total privacy all the while. You can use the pool and patio downstairs between 11-7 every day (hours understandably curtailed to protect the privacy of the garden-floor renters). We enjoyed chatting with the women who were staying downstairs, who were mature adults there to surf. Our second week, we moved down to the 2 BR beachfront flat, which is great for the luxury of floating in and out of the pool all day and night without having to even put on flip flops, and the back bedroom is quieter for those who prefer to listen to the birds and crickets rather than the surf. There is good privacy between the bedrooms. The ocean swimming and boogie boarding out front are fabulous, and three boogie boards were provided by Casa Oasis, no need to rent. There were a few days out of the fourteen we were there where there was a big storm swell with 8 ft waves, and a bit of a rip tide (beware!), but most days it was easy and even kid-friendly (ages 10+). It was so refreshing and invigorating to duck some waves in the ocean and then retreat to the pool only 50' away to relax. We rented bikes for $50USD/week so it was really easy to get to town, the further (2k away) beaches like Majahua, or any restaurants you want to go to from Troncones to Majahua. It's so relaxing to just pedal slowly up and down the road and enjoy the ocean breezes. Absolutely no need to rent a car unless you need to carry surf boards around. We took taxis on the days we wanted to go to Playa Los Gatas in Zihuatanejo or Ixtapa Island, which were the two fabulous days trips we took.

Summary: Wonderful clean and comfortable compound with the ocean just steps away from the pool area. Relax while grey pelicans soar by and the sound of the ocean clears away all your stress. Then a short walk into town for absolutely amazing food in one of many open-air restaurants. The locals are kind and welcoming. Troncones is a gem worth exploring.
