Summary: Selah is a beautiful villa with its own little private secluded beach, perfect for families with young kids, great pool and tennis court. The staff is wonderful , very patient and accommodating. Chef did an excellent job. Unfortunately, the beauty of the location is marred by the extensive condo construction on the west side. There were a few non functioning amenities, the hot tub, the wifi (which had to be repaired twice) the Hobie cat missing the sail. Children size life vests for kayaks and more than one set of snorkel gear would have been appreciated. All in all, we had a wonderful week.

Summary: Our vacation experience started with Suzie - who was a dream to work with - responsive, energetic and fun, she answered any question we could throw at her, and then greeted us at the door to smoothly transition us to the rest of the property staff. The property was beautiful - lush and vibrant, with a diverse set of gorgeous flowers and stunning palms and other trees. By far the best view in my opinion was from the infinity pool that appears to flow right into the ocean. The house was beautiful too and more than comfortable during any weather or time of day. In addition to the grounds, kept up to the name of a slice of paradise lovingly by the joyous and exceptional groundskeeper, Willard, staying here was an experience of a lifetime because of the people who made it so. We had phenomenal meals 3 times a day at the hands of Jason, the chef. The housekeeper, Novelette, made the home look like it cleaned itself, and our butler Ro made sure everything else fell into place on top of taking care of any of our immediate wants, from coordinating irregular excursions to preparing and serving great drinks at all times of the day. Between the grounds and the people, we would be hard pressed to provide a better place to go on vacation. We send our best to Jason, Novelette, Ro, Suzie, and Willard. Thank you all one last time!

Summary: Selah Villa is even better than the pictures, it is the perfect beach getaway. The house and the rooms are spacious and comfortable, but the real gem of this property is the outdoor space. The outdoor area has a massive pool, patio and there are so many places to hangout, relax and eat. The private beach is nestled into a cove that protects from any large waves and there are kayaks and paddle-boards that we used everyday! The tennis/pickle-ball court was so fun and there was also a basketball hoop on the court which we really enjoyed. The staff are amazing at this villa. Rodaine was always there to help and prepare anything we needed. Jason's food was incredible and we looked forward to every meal. Novelette and Barbara kept the place sparkling clean and Willard made sure the property, gardens and beach were kept in immaculate condition. Suzie was so helpful in the booking of this villa and she answered all our questions quickly and with care. Our bags did not make it on our flight to Jamaica and Suzie went out of her way to contact the airport /customs multiple times to ensure that we got them as quick as possible. She also recommended and helped organize transportation, excursion tours, and mobile spa services. We had the best stay at Selah Villa and hope to be back soon!!

Summary: We had the most amazing time at Selah Villa. The property is so beautiful and wonderfully designed. The pool, the bay, the outdoor living space, the tennis court, had us all busy during our stay! The staff: Rodaine was so on point! Jasen's food was mouth watering. Novellette and Patrick took such care of the house, we were living amongst pure perfection! Our family had such an incredible time, enjoying the house, runaway bay and Ocho Rios! We are planning our next stay to Selah as we speak!

Summary: The villa is gorgeous. Beautiful outdoor areas by the pool and ocean. Wonderful areas for congregating or relaxing by yourself. There were kayaks and a paddle board, a tennis court and other activities available. Selah is a beautiful , well maintained house with large rooms and bathrooms en suite. Everyone had a beautiful outdoor view and the 3 upstairs rooms have balconies overlooking the pool and the ocean. The house is meticulously maintained every day. The staff is OUTSTANDING! They were all so nice. Chef Bonner prepared delicious meals for all, including special gluten free meals for one of our guests. They even arranged a special meal and cake for my son’s birthday. Oliver waited on us hand and foot, bringing us special drinks and snacks with a smile. Patrick kept the grounds very well groomed and Ann and Samantha kept the house spotless. And everyone was so nice and friendly! Suzie the manager provided us with helpful information about the booking and things to do in Jamaica. She guided us throughout our stay in a very friendly and helpful way. I really can’t say enough good things about the entire experience and I really look forward to going back. Kathleen M.

Summary: This villa is way more beautiful than it looks in these pictures. Spacious, clean, stylish, a gentle breeze runs through the home. It is pure heaven. The pool is lovely, the beach is steps away and there is a cove you can paddle board and snorkel in. Truly wonderful!! Tennis courts, gardens we literally fell in love! ** That said please be advised to pay the staff gratuity on CC NOT CASH!! ** As the owner requests to do prior, we did not get around to it before we left and thought it would be okay to pay cash upon departure. Big mistake, there was a discrepency once we dropped the cash gratuity with Patrick and did not ask for a receipt. The staff were wonderful while we were there, the issue arose after we left. In particular the chefs Ryan and ShellyAnne were great and we hired a driver with van Shavar who was the best!

Summary: BEST.VACATION.EVER. My week at Selah Villa was wonderful. If you haven't seen the photos, Selah Villa is beautiful. It's a stone's throw from Jewel (the former Hedonism resort), and features its own private beach, tennis court, and a wonderful pool. It comes with all the accoutrements you'd expect, even including two kayaks (a twin and a single) and a catamaran. The staff is AWESOME! Patrick, Ryan, and Lesreen took care of our every need. They were always surreptitiously in the background, ready to assist us at a moment's notice. Occasionally we would take a nap, and Lesreen would re-make our bed again! Ryan's cooking was awesome, we never felt any need to head outside for a restaurant, having a marvelous meal with a superb ocean view nightly was spectacular. Ryan was terrific at customizing our menu and keeping everybody fed and happy. For those not familiar with Selah Villa, the staff purchases, delivers, and prepares the food, the vacationer pays for it. Ryan helped us manage our groceries and food bill very well. The tennis court is great. I was a bit disappointed that the tennis court didn't have a net strap. The snorkeling and scuba here is world class. Great snorkeling in Selah Villa's own little private bay, as well as the rocks by the Jewel resort. Great reefs out there with plenty of aquatic life. There is a sunken ship and plane nearby (about 60 feet down) for those that are scuba minded. The Selah Villa private beach features a couple of palapas with hammock and plenty of loungers on the beach. Loved the pool and jacuzzi. It's a forty foot square infinity pool. Water is warm and inviting. The near end is super-shallow for adults to lounge around in, the middle area is shallow for kids to play around in, and the far end is deep enough to swim in. Plenty of pool toys for everyone. The tech at Selah Villa was good. Two LCDs, one with netflix. Good selection of movies. PC and wireless. Probably the biggest glitch I experienced was the internet speed. Most of the days there I experienced frustrating sub-dialup speeds. Resetting the router did help for a while. For the last two days of our trip we got decent speeds, no problem. Your mileage may vary. It's not an inexpensive vacation, but when you factor in the fact that the rental rate plus groceries is all you need, it's not as bad as you'd think. You have to spend your time on this world somewhere; this is one of the finest places to do so. Five stars.

Summary: A group of 7 stayed through the Holidays at Selah and it was a complete delight. The sea was the eighth member of the group and was with us every moment of the trip. I have been in withdrawal since my return, craving the beauty of the sea and the endlessly fascinating lullaby. We jokingly-but accurately- decided it was a tree sloth vacation. No one moved very fast or very far. There are some reported patches of moss from the endless splashing about in the poll or hot tub or lagoon. The staff is superb. I am not used to being treated that well and it was a very nice experience. We felt that Patrick, Rhyan and the girls made every effort to anticipate our comforts. They were engaging, friendly and very efficient. If your vacation goals include indulgent pampering and fabulous beach napping, Selah is worthy of your attention.
