3 Bedroom Villa in Melaya

Villa Dua is one of three villas at The Melaya Villas compound. It consists of three 3-bedroom holiday villas right on the beach of North West Bali. The villas are luxuriously equipped with a large pool of 5 meters x 15 meters and a lush tropical garden of 2000 meters squares directly adjacent to the beach. The living area of the villa is an antique Joglo that has been moved from Java to Bali. Most of Joglo part are at least 70 years old and therefore it gives the villa a truly authentic Indonesian character. The bedrooms are situated around the Joglo, each with a private rain shower bathroom, air-conditioned bedroom, a fan, a mosquito net, a walk in closet, safety box, and study table.
In front of the villa is a large terrace with 2 sun beds and a large pool of 75 meter squares. In the pool is a 4 meter squares paddling pool and at the end of the pool is a sundeck with 2 sunbeds to enjoy the Balinese sun. From the garden of the villa you can walk on to the beach and you can see the mountain peaks of Java in the distance, a phenomenal view.
During your stay you can relax in the villa, the staff is ready to take care of your needs. We have a cook for each villa who can cook breakfast, lunch and dinner. In addition, the villa is cleaned daily, the pool and garden are taken care of as well. If you want to make trips or do other activities you will find at least 25 thing to do and to see. Trip to the world famous blue fire at Ijen crater or to the scenic Mount Bromo can be arranged from our villas.
The villas are equipped with a fully equipped kitchen, a TV and audio set (also with blue tooth) and, of course, bed linen and towels are arranged. The villa manager is on hand to answer your questions and, if you wish, to organize tours and trips to the beautiful locations in the area.
The villas are equipped with solar panels to cover the electricity in the day, when the sun has set down we use the electricity that provided by the government.

Summary: We recommend the Villa Malaya in all aspects: The houses are beautiful (combination of open space, closed bedrooms and half-open baths), the garden and pool are magnificent and we enjoyed the direct access to the wonderful beach which we "only shared" with the local fishermen. Especially the staff (perfectly led by Putu Leong!) needs to be mentioned. Putu (and the team) guessed our wishes before we even became aware of them, pampered us with delicious and various food for breakfast, lunch and dinner and even climbed the coconut trees in the garden to let us taste the delicious juice. We also enjoyed several activities (kayaking, yoga (very professional teacher), excursions and visits to external (excellent!) restaurants) which were perfectly arranged by the team and sometimes even accompanied by them. A special thanks to Semmy Semara who drove us most of the times and gave us a lot of insight to Bali and its culture also due to his language skills (English and German!). A big thanks also to the manager Ferdi Sambo who helped us in a very friendly manner with all arising questions. All in all a wonderful time surrounded by wonderful people! Thank you for everything.

Summary: Beautiful joglo, lovely air-conditioned bedroom with amazing outdoor shower! The garden was tropical with beautiful trees and flowers. You can hear the lapping waves from the spectacular warm huge pool, with infinity sides, that made you feel like you're in paradise. We were in the middle joglo, we never saw or heard our neighbours. The staff were welcoming and so kind and helpful. Everything we requested they fulfilled, no problem. Our chef Ilo, and Esa, we're absolutely lovely and her cooking was outstanding. We often asked for traditional Balinese dishes which weren't on the menu, it was all delicious, thank you so much. Ita was a brilliant masseuse, we had traditional and reflexology massages in the garden. We can't believe how strong she was and relieved us of all stresses and knots! Highly recommend, we had 3 each as it was so wonderful. A big thank you to Nono our guide for activities, who is so knowledgeable about the island. We went through the mangroves and as a low tide ended up walking as boat got stuck was really fun! We also went snorkeling to Deer Island reef. It was the best snorkel I have ever done, thousands of fish and saw 2 turtles, what a thrill! I have dived all over the world and this was by far the best! My husband's first snorkel and Nono made him feel safe. Sami our driver was so friendly, the long airport transfer was beautifully scenic, well worth it to escape the busy commercial city. Thank you all for making our honeymoon so special.

Summary: We stayed here for couple of weeks and it was absolutely amazing place if you like to be away from busy touristy areas. Villa is about 3 hour drive from the main tourist areas but has enough attractions nearby to keep you busy. National Park, snorkel trips (ask about options to go camping for a night or two!), Java island is couple of hours away (climbing to Ijen crater is a great experience). Beach is fairly clean but not pristine, despite best efforts of staff to keep it tidy. When the tide is out, you barely even notice the rough edges. The whole staff team is absolutely amazing, every single one of them! The food that was prepared for us was delicious, fridges were stocked with beer and soft drinks, and was always well maintained. We felt truly well locked after by every single member of the team and nothing but smiles and kindness on their faces! The beds were very comfortable, AC was very effective and the pool was clean and perfect temperature. We were always able to get any transportation arranged, from a scooter for local explorations to drivers to take us anywhere we wanted to pool side massages. We had a hard time leaving and wanted to say couple of weeks longer but alas, it was all booked up. A lovely area, beautiful setting, very comfortable with amazing people looking after us the whole time. Will definitely be going back to this hidden little gem in West Bali. Thank you to Verdi and his team for making this stay a wonderful experience!

Summary: Beautiful villa. Fantastic swimming-pool. Excellent service (lunches, dinners and breakfasts). Not a place for shopping. No restaurants. Not the trendy Bali you can be looking for. For rest in the wild: a perfect place. Too bad the beach is not clean and fails to be attractive for swimming.

Summary: Located far away from the crowded and commercial part of Bali wouldn't be a problem for this resort. It makes this place worth even more. You'll get both world, the green of the forest and the blue of the ocean. The design of the villas and everything inside will make you feels homey and luxury at the same time. All the staff are professional in their own way. That's my holiday in this villa. There is so much more, just couldn't be express and written in this short review. Go and experience yourself!

Summary: The best stay for all my trip in Asia : the villa is so beautiful , a mix of modern and Balineese interior, the senses of details, a lot of space, a big pool ... So close to paradise... Very friendly and efficient staff, wifi works perfectly, the area is beautiful, the beach only for us. The stay couldn't have been better !

Summary: Following our 10 day stay at Villa Ayoka in Tabanan, we moved north west to Villa Melaya in Negara for 10 days, Jan.29/16-Feb.07/16. On arrival we were courteously greeted by the villa staff with a cool fruit beverage and welcoming smiles. We were introduced to the villa staff and given a tour of the property which was every bit as beautiful, spacious, clean and inviting as Villa Ayoka. After unpacking and enjoying a few hours of leisurely time to explore the grounds, beach and a swim in the pool we were treated to a delightful supper. There is not enough words to describe or compliment the cooks on the meals we were served. We were introduced to new fruit -snake fruit and jack fruit. We enjoyed fresh tuna and prawns. I'm sure the cook won't forget the Canadian who would order 7 banana pancakes for breakfast each morning - delicious they were. Daily the staff would appear and the whole villa would have a makeover - dishes were cleaned, the beds were made, bathrooms and pool cleaned and main area tidied. Bed linens, towels and pool towels changed every few days and if an extra towel was needed staff were eager to provide. All staff were courteous, willing to chat and explain their culture and in turn interested in learning about ours. A cell phone was left in the villa during our stay and we were told no matter whatever time of day or night if we needed anything to call. Staff were so attentive to our needs that we did not once use the cell phone. We never felt like we were imposing when we asked for information about available tours or the request to pickup Bintang or Cajuput oil. Staff made all our arrangements for drivers and guides to take us fishing, to the Ijen Volcano, local market and return ride to the airport. Our last evening the staff surprised us with a romantic supper for 4. They removed the loungers from the platform at the end of the pool, replaced the loungers with table and chairs, a floral arrangement and candles on the table and more candles down both lengths of the pool. The meal was once again pretty impressive. The villa owner visited one evening to meet us and graced us with a gift as a token of appreciation for our business - how cool is that! Upon leaving Villa Melaya all the staff appeared with their smiles, hugs and well wishes for a safe return to Canada. Summary: Our stay at the Malaya Villa was excellent! We felt pampered and well taken care of by the staff, especially the manager Maria. Everything is exactly as pictured. It is quiet and relaxing. If you wish activity Maria is very helpful in planning day trips. We hiked in Java, snorkled, toured northern Bali, visited temples, and toured waterfalls and coffee plantations. There is plenty to do if willing to drive a bit. Drivers are arranged for you. My family of 5 enjoyed our 10 days there very much!

Summary: We spent a week at one of the Villas in mid November and I can,t say enough nice things about this very special place. First of all, Maria and the staff are absolutely great. They always go above and beyond and our romantic last night candle lit dinner is a memory that will last a lifetime. Beyond that, the villa itself is beautiful. Wonderful architecture, peaceful gardens, incredibly comfortable beds and sunsets that should be in the movies make this a very special place. Finally, the location in quiet west Bali is perfect for seeing lesser known but more authentic Balinese culture. I spent a day in the hectic south after staying at Melaya and was longing for the peace and quiet of he villa. Don't hesitate to book this incredible spot. You will not be disappointed.
