Positive: This was my second time here and will always return. It is so peaceful and quiet. the views are absolutely breathtaking! The unit is very clean and had everything that we needed. The bed was very comfortable so we slept great. We love coming here away from the touristy places to visit for a few days. The host responds immediately and super friendly and helpful!

Positive: The location is stunning, the beach is wonderful and there’s literally no one around. Sunsets are also amazing!! And amenities were pretty cool. The kitchen was the best furbished kitchen we’ve ever rented.
Negative: The location is not the one indicated on booking!!!!!!!!! This was a huge inconvenience for us because we were supposed to be in the center of La Ventana with daily excursions from Playa Central. Instead we were 40MIN away from La Ventana!!! So we didn’t go out as much as we would’ve. No bars or restaurants in the vicinity. I mean its lovely if thats what you’re looking for, but it should be VERY CLEAR. At least we already had a rental car.. if not it would have been impossible for us to stay there. Also - the cleaning was not at an appropriate level. Hairs everywhere and windows and jacuzzi were not clear at all.

Positive: The stay was incredibly relaxing and welcoming. The directions provided were clear and accurate—especially helpful since cell service can drop along the way (use Google Maps). The setting is tranquil, with breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, and even whale sightings right from the property. I truly appreciated the privacy; while there is a neighboring unit, both spaces are designed to feel completely secluded, especially in the hot tub areas. The beach feels like your own private escape—though the waves were a bit rough, it’s still swimmable with caution. The home is well-stocked with cooking utensils, basic toiletries, and the highlight for me: a Nespresso machine with pods provided, making for the perfect start to each day. They also thoughtfully included a jug of water and some cervezas. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway far from the crowds, this is the place. The only sounds at night were the soothing crash of waves. As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe—the staff around the property were respectful and helpful. The host was responsive and available when I had questions about using some of the amenities. The remote location adds to the sense of calm that’s hard to find in other parts of BCS. I’ll absolutely be back! Thank you to Luis for his hospitality.
Negative: There were no cons related to the host—everything was as described with no surprises, which was much appreciated. A few helpful tips for future guests: The property is located within a remote, developing community accessible via a dirt road. It takes about 10 minutes to reach once you exit the highway. While a standard car is fine, a small SUV or Jeep makes the drive more comfortable. Be sure to stock up on groceries and essentials before arrival, as the nearest town is about 15–25 minutes away. There are some great local restaurants, but again, they’re a short drive and there are no food delivery services available in the area. I wasn’t able to locate the A/C remote, but it wasn’t needed during my March stay—though I imagine it will be more necessary during the summer months. One important tip: if you’re renting a car, be sure to fill up on gas before heading to the property, as gas stations are limited and spaced far apart—missing one could mean an additional 30-minute drive to the next. The property is eco-friendly and encourages mindful use of electricity and water, which is very reasonable—just be prepared for quicker showers! Wi-Fi was a bit spotty, but given the remote location, that’s to be expected. Overall, a peaceful and beautiful place to unplug and enjoy Bahía Turquesa .

Positive: The location is extraordinary if you like trail running, beach walking, paddle boarding, riding ATVs and serenity. Bahia Turquesa frames the Sea of Cortez along with La Ventana and Jacques Cousteau island. The beach walk to La Ventana is 50 min. Driving over there is about 30 min. But these 100% off the grid, green, eco friendly accommodations are so well designed and built and outfitted(bed, bath, and kitchen) that you will be happy you are being in harmony as a traveler with the overall goal of this area which is preservation of the ecologies. Whether I was cooking a meal, or enjoying the jacuzzi(just outside my bedroom) or lounging on the second bed, or enjoying the hot rain shower after a swim, i was at peace. Living my values in the most dreamy place. This casita is super quiet and breathes. The screens allow the freshest air. And unlike most streets in La Ventana and El Sargento, there was not trash around my casita to attract any creatures. I walked and ran many trails thru the desert. I returned to do my work. Great wifi. Coming from being on grid...its amazing just how sophisticated off grid has become. Ill definitely return. I was here for two weeks.
Negative: There is some construction going on adjacent to this rental. My casita and the adjacent casita have been completed however. That said, the workers were all extraordinarily quiet in their work; pleasant, fun to interact with and inspiring to watch. The sand road in from the paved road thru Los Planes was challenging for me in spots. I was driving a solar 4x4 motorhome. But it has a lot of appliances and battery systems aboard. So it took me a few trips to get the hang of it. In a car or truck you won’t have a problem. So in my situation, I just made the choice to be settled and enjoy this incredible spot. Totally worth it on so many levels.
