Positive: The staff were excellent. From the moment I arrived, during my stay, the service at dinner and in the evening at the bar, it was extraordinary. The cleanliness of the bedroom was perfect.

Negative: Just a bit too hot without aircon. Fan helped to circulate the warm air.

Positive: The setting is stunning and the food in the restaurant was great. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Negative: Booking.com, for some reason, had put it through as a booking for only one person so there was a difference in charge when we arrived. I have no issue with this but it should have been informed at the time of check in, rather than when we went to pay afterwards. Luckily, it was a minimal change in price but had it doubled, it would have been a bigger issue. I don't really know what the additional charge was for as it was the same room as if I had been the only guest anyway; assuming for the extra towel that was provided for guest 2? Food is amazing but as expected for Switzerland, expensive. We ordered water for the table but apparently you need to specify tap water? Lovely water but expensive at over 8CHF per litre. There is no fridge in the room and the location is remote so you're somewhat tied into eating in their own restaurant unless you have a car. As other reviews state, the rooms can get hot in the night and opening the window was not an option as it's right on the road which can be noisy, either from cars and buses or loud rain, in our case. We had a coffee machine in our room but unfortunately it didn't work and just leaked all over my husbands feet. The shower was small and tight but sufficient. We checked out on a Saturday morning and luckily, I realised just in the nick of time that there was only 1 bus that day and it was due in 4 minutes so we had to rush. It would be ideal if they informed people who are checking out on a weekend that there is only the 1 bus running at 9.22am; had we not checked, we would have checked out at 10 and then had to do a 3 hour boat journey to get to where we needed to go, from what I found on Google. The above is not necessarily complaints, but little things that would have been nice.
