Tres Palmas Inn and Villas has been in operation following strict guidelines for the prevention of COVID19. Rincon has almost returned back to normal with restaurants and shops in operation. Though, we remain vigilant in our protocols and also in the conservation and maintenance of our reserve water tanks and industrial generator.
The Coconut House is a lovely cottage located in a 4 acre beachfront marine reserve estate. Recently remodeled, this cottage has 1 bedroom, one full bathroom. It is designed loft-style with a second story for the bedroom, 2 futons in living room and small porch with mountain views. Lovely, fun, and intimate for a couple or family with school age children. It has air conditioner in the bedroom, kitchen area with stove, sink and fridge, microwave, grill, and ceiling fans. WiFi, Cable TV, Parking, and access to washer and dryer. The beach right in front of the estate is the Tres Palmas Marine Reserve, people love to snorkel and surf there. However, depending on weather, at times, the currents and tide may not make it suitable for swimming. A few steps (5 minutes walking distance) away is the popular Steps Beach which is more popular for swimming. Maria’s and Domes Beach (famous surfing beaches) will require a longer walk 20-30 minutes. People with children choose the Marina beach which is at the left of the property which is more friendly for swimming.

Summary: This cottage was clean and well-appointed. We found the other people staying at the property to be very friendly and the staff was helpful and conscientious. The best part of this property is its location - far enough away from the main street to be quiet (save for the birds!) and close enough to all of the beaches, bars, and restaurants to maximize our time. The owner provided a helpful local guide that allowed us to discover some true Rincon gems. The property isn't fancy but we liked the walk-in shower after a long day in the sun - particularly my very tall fiance. We soon settled in and felt very at home. Note: the property description shows a significant beach but the hurricanes (not just here but everywhere) have done a good job of scouring away a lot of frontages. LuLu's beach was just down the road and wonderful. We also found the bed to be overly firm the first night and my finance bounced me quite a bit every time he moved. We remedied that by popping over to Walmart for a mattress topper and from then on slept like babies. We would definitely return again and would love to try another of the property's rental options.

Summary: We are a family of 4 including a teen and a pre-teen and we all loved our stay at the coconut house! We loved snorkeling in the mornings and the little pool was delightful for a quick dip. This was just right for us!

Summary: We were looking for relaxation, a secluded beach, great seafood nearby & snorkeling. This property has all of them. We will definitely be coming back. This house is perfect for a couple, though I could see how it would be tight for a group of 4. So if we return with our kids we’ll rent one of their bigger units. Only complaint is that we didn’t have enough time to enjoy everything that Rincon has to offer

Summary: We were originally booked for the Coconut House but upon arrival realized it would not be a good fit for us with our two toddlers. Rather than fighting with us about making changes they promptly tried to find us a different accommodation on the property that was more to our liking. We were very please with the other unit they moved us to. Nancy, the property manager was extremely responsive, helpful and accommodating. I will say that the Coconut House is not an ideal choice for a family with small children since the staircase is extremely steep. I would also advise the owner to get some power strips in the upstairs bedroom so that you don't bang your head when plugging in devices. I would also point out that the current furniture in the unit do not match the images on the website. I
