Summary: Inside the property is a little tired. Actually the positive is that it’s more like staying in someone’s home, rather than a holiday apartment. The location is fantastic, the lake is right outside and the walk into town is lovely. We really enjoyed cooking on the outside griddle. The evenings were a bit chilly at the end of September and we appreciated the stove.

Summary: This was a perfectly charming place for our family to enjoy a long holiday weekend. The home had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed paddling around the lake. Check in was easy. Would definitely return!

Summary: Great place to stay with easy walk along the lake to the gorgeous town of Orta San Giulio and the Sacro Monte. The apartment has good facilities and is perfect for 2 couples

Summary: This is a great place to stay with fantastic views and a great location right on the lake. The town is a short and scenic walk away with plenty of bars and restaurants. Using the canoes let us have great fun on the lake. It was a real pleasure dealing with the owner as he is charming, friendly and helpful. We would certainly stay here again.

Summary: We already spent several times at Lago d'Orta before. Sometimes on the campsite, sometimes in a hotel, or a room, always near Orta San Giulio, but also always with the dream of staying in a nice and cosy, private place directly on the lake. Finding this place made that dream come through for us! We spent the week at the apartment with 4 adults and 1 dog and found more than enough space for all of us, as well as enough privacy with the 2 available bathrooms. The master bedroom has a large double bed and beautiful views over the lake, the second bedroom had mattresses on the floor, which wasn't a problem for us. Luca was very welcoming and friendly, he was even so kind to come by from Milan an extra time to lent us his pasta machine. The apartment was located in a perfect position for us, because it is very well possible to walk from there to Orta San Giulio via several beautiful and scenic routes. We would walk there in the evening for dinner and in the morning for coffee. But we also spent enough time at the apartment, enjoying the terrace, the lake, the views, the meals we cooked in the well equipped kitchen, et cetera. Even though only one of us had canoed before, all 4 of us very much enjoyed taking the canoes on to the lake for a paddle. We'll certainly come back again. And if we'd need to ask Luca for a change, the only thing would be if he could trim the oleanders a bit lower, so we could enjoy the view over the lake a bit better :)

We loved the location right on the lake where we could walk to Orta San Giulio along the lake edge, admiring the view and beautiful houses along the way. The kids, aged 6 and 9 loved the canoes we could use to paddle around on the lake. We spent one day driving to Mottarone and Alpyland, where we tried out the luge (great fun and another of the kids highlights), then headed over to Stresa. Although we enjoyed Stresa and Parco della Villa Pallavicino we were happy to get back to the peaceful surrounds of Lake Orta. We found the apartment to be clean, comfortable with everything we needed. When we had one query Luca was very helpful and prompt in his reply to our text. We enjoyed one lunch in the courtyard with bread, meats and cheeses we bought from a local deli in Orta San Giulio which was probably our favourite meal. Thank you for our stay, just wished we had stayed longer than our three nights.

Summary: We had a geat time! We enjoyed sitting at the deck with a nice glas of wine and the beautiful view. It is a perfect place to relax. Orta is in walking distance if you want to go out and even Milano is not far away. We had a great time!
