Positive: The property was clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning and appliances worked. The neighborhood was quiet and adequate parking was always available at no charge. The owners were contactable for any problems during our stay.
Negative: The double flight of steep concrete stairs entering the front of the house were challenging totaling more than 22 steep steps and a single handrail on the first flight that is much too low. The stairs accessing the back of the house are far too dangerous to use with broken concrete steps, missing handrail, slippery weeds growing over the steps, and an access much too steep. Clearly, access to the home presents a very hazardous situation especially with luggage to senior citizens, families with small children, and certainly the disabled. My party consisted of people in their 60's & 70's and had we known the challenge safely accessing the home, we would have never rented it. Also, there is only 1 bathroom in the house at the top of another long flight of stairs on the second floor. There are virtually no outlets above the counter in the kitchen and only 2 wall outlets close enough to the counters to plug into. The TV requires 2 remotes to use and should have detailed instructions as to which signal source to use and which apps are not password protected, which we found most are and simply watching the news was a challenge. Finally, there was also a nest of bumblebees somewhere near the back porch preventing us from using it to enjoy sipping our morning coffee outside.
Summary: Nice little house with challenging accessibility and 1 bathroom on second floor.
