Beautiful Beach Front Villa featuring a beach side patio and pool. Spend your day on the secluded Baie De Prunnes (Plum Beach). This 2 acre home offers plenty of privacy. Plum Beach Retreat is ideally situated on the beach of Plum Beach. The villa is just steps from the calm, blue waters and white sand beach. It's a perfect property for families, honeymooners or romantic get-away. Maid Service 3 days a week Included in Rates.
Relax on the Patio under the shade of our many Coconut Trees. If you can get one, our gardener James would be glad to open it for you. Take a swim in the ocean and come back for a rinse in the beach side fresh water pool. NOT A PLUNGE POOL *** But a Stand-up and Swim Pool with Depths from 3.5ft to 4.5ft *** (remember plunge pools are deep and most folks cannot stand up in them). This pool is very child and adult friendly. Step out to the ocean side patio and flop down on the lounge chairs, and look up to coconut trees and out to the beach and ocean, then read a book, hop in the pool and watch the ocean. Walk out and swim in the waves and stroll along the beach. It is a top shelf, picture perfect setting.
Start your day with Breakfast on the patio. Take a drive to Marigot (less than 15 minutes) to shop the many French boutiques. Have a Cafรฉ Latte at one of the boulangerie-pรขtisseries. (French Bakeries that look like they are right out of Paris) Take a walk or run on the lightly traveled local roads. Go shelling on the beach. Go Snorkeling in the clear water right out front. Spend the day by the pool and ocean. Enjoy happy hour and sunset on the patio or 2nd floor screened in deck. Prepare a feast at the house or head out to the hundreds of restaurants in St Martin with offerings ranging from Pizza to Most Excellent French Cuisine.

The master bedroom suite is located on the second floor with screened covered deck overlooking the Caribbean Sea, patio and pool. (the master suite has king size bed, single day bed and two folding cots) The screened in deck is the perfect place to set up cots for the kids or additional guests. Two air-conditioned bedrooms off the main floor share a full bath. Full bath and shower off the dinning room. (front bed room has king size bed and the rear bedroom has queen and small day bed) Ceiling fans in all rooms through out villa.

Pictures do your home NO justice! Being here on our honeymoon is easily compared to seeing a glimpse into heaven! The beach is son beautiful! We slept upstairs every single night falling asleep to the sound of the waves. It seriously is a relaxation medication for your soul! This has by far been the BEST vacation either of us have ever been on! Weโ€™ve has an amazing honeymoon!

We spent the week simply enjoying every minute here. It was so nice to wake up and have coffee at the beach ever morning. We came to the island for our sons graduation and were so glad to find such a lovely home someone was generous enough to share with us. Daily walks on the beach with the family were priceless. The food is pretty good here too. Now I can say we seen the most beautiful sunset from our very own beach for this week. Wish someday to be able to come back with the rest of the family and enjoy the lovely home and beach again. This home home was enjoyed by all.

Summary: We spent almost all of our time in the pool and the view was picturesque. Loved the entire trip and the house was great. Note, the whole house is open air (which adds to the island experience). I only wish the 2 air conditioned sleeping quarters had a way to hold the AC in for a little relief from the heat. But I would stay here again.

Summary: We fell in love with the Terres Basses and Plum Bay location several years ago, and this house is right on the water. The pool is just off the beach and is the perfect place to enjoy the Caribbean sun. We absolutely loved everything about it and hope to return.

Summary: This house is very spacious. Shame there were only four of us as it had tons of room inside and out. In the living room I counted one couch, three loveseats and four chairs and it was not crowded. Huge upstairs screened in patio. Another big covered patio downstairs as well. Lots of loungers, chairs and umbrellas. Went every morning for a dip in the sea and we were the only ones on the beach! Gets very hot in the afternoon so the pool was a bonus. Pool was maintained and maid service is also included. Caretakers very nice and helpful. Miss their dogs! It is on the French side but you are very close to Dutch side and there is a great Thai place in the marina (next to Carrefour) about a five minute drive just after you cross to Dutch side. Loved this vacation. Only complaint was the bug bites which obviously owners cannot control. Bring bug spray! Home could use some renovations and I would suggest screening in the outdoor hallway that connects to the downstairs bedrooms. Loved that they were separate from the main house and there were locked gates at both ends so you didnโ€™t have to worry about intruders. Although I must say I never felt unsafe. Definitely want to go back to our private oasis. Absolutely loved it!

Summary: Beautiful beach and privacy but too rocky along the shore to go swimming in the water. Pool at the house was great, grand kids loved it. House is wonderful, typical beach house on the water but a little too hot and humid for me. Wish it had more air conditioning but that would be impossible without expensive upgrades to the house. Worse problem was the insects and mosquitoes. Again, understandable for being right on the beach. We were use to Condos in the past. Good value for the money and great care keepers on the property, very helpful. Very good kitchen but needed to cook out doors because of the heat inside. Wish the grill was gas but the charcoal was not a problem. Grill was more of a smoker that a grill but we figured it out eventually because you needed more time to cook things. Would definately try it again maybe in late fall season instead. Can't beat the location!

Summary: We enjoyed a great, relaxing family vacation. The villa was spacious, airy and comfortable. It was lovely to roll out of bed, make a coffee and head down to the pool or the beach for a walk. Tim was very helpful and addressed any questions or concerns immediately. He was even able to provide us with a highchair and pack'n'play for our youngest! We felt very much at home, with internet, satellite TV, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, bath and beach towels, and North American type of outlets. The villa is located in a secure gated community and located only a short drive to Nettle Bay or Marigot and other amenities. But as other guests have said- we rarely wanted to leave! We would definitely consider this villa again for subsequent visits to St Martin- although we might bring another family with us next time too- there was lots of space for everyone, and would be a great place for large family meals or to relax by the poolside. The screened in deck upstairs was the perfect place to enjoy an evening glass of wine while the kids played. Just a few tidbits of general advice, especially for those with small children, none of which would affect our decision to return, but was handy to know : the tile floor can be slippery when wet, especially for little people running around/dripping from a swim, so use caution or or put down a "beach towel carpet" as needed. St Martin does have some mosquitoes, nothing major, but bug spray at dawn and dusk is a good idea (or just hang out in the screened in porch in the early evening). The beach is lovely to walk on, build sandcastles, listen to the surf, and dip your toes in the water, but there are also some rocks, so need to be aware if young children want to go swimming in the ocean- there are some spots that are more clear to enter than others (not a really a problem for adults). On the entire island of St Martin, there are only really 2 beaches calm enough for very young kids, one being Friar's Bay (Anse des Peres), which was a short drive away from the villa. We mostly used the pool to swim, which great to relax in. We loved having our own pool! Overall, we had a great stay, and would recommend this villa to family and friends. We will definitely keep it in mind for our next visit to St Martin!
