Summary: Our trip to Volet Lavende was 2 years in the making. We unfortunately cancelled first time due to COVID but on arrival the wait was worth it. The property was easy to find with the sat nav and the directions provided which was great considering the length of the journey. On entering through the imposing gates you are wowed with a characterful property full of charm. Large rooms comfortable beds and all the facilities for an enjoyable stay. There was an issue with the oven door but i just adapted how I cooked. The kids loved the pool and the wife certainly made use of the sunloungers. The games room was good for some competitive table tennis. The area itself was nice and quiet. Not to far from London and the supermarkets and there are a number of places to visit within an hour. Would definitely recommend Plan d'eau de hommes. We wish we found it earlier as would have visited again. The only down side to the break were the number of places that were closed. It was the end of July but we had issues finding restaurants open. Very little information was available on this and we would only find out when we arrived at a location which was frustrating when in one case we travelled 30minutes. Finally, communication with the hosts was excellent. Emails were answered promptly from booking right through to recieveing our arrival info. Overall we would certainly want to return to the property in the future.

Summary: We were looking for a house for my family (including baby and dog) to gather over the Christmas holiday and turned out wonderfully!. As we stayed during the winter, we didn’t take advantage of the outside games or pool but we did use the fireplace and the English TV. The big kitchen was great for family meals and the sitting room was very cozy. It was a bonus to have the a crib and high chair for the baby. The wifi isn’t very strong but enough to search local market destinations. We went in many walks around the cute town filled with stone walls and an old windmill and visited a couple cities close by. The hosts were very responsive and we would love to come back in the summertime!

Summary: House is large and very well presented and equipped. We loved staying here and would definitely recommend it. There is a lot of space both inside and out and great facilities to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable

Summary: We absolutely love this house, it's a great size, with a very large garden, which was great for our dogs, and plenty of dog walks within 2 mins. It's got room to park the car under cover of the barn, which was a god send in the baking temperatures. A lovely quiet location, but very close to major routes. The house itself is very well equipped with everything you could possibly want. We most certainly will be back next year.

Summary: This place lived up to what we expected. The house was well equipped and so pretty. Rooms were big and the garden area was beautiful, the surrounding nature was great to watch. A very relaxing place and lots of great areas to visit. Easy to book from start to finish. Would definitely recommend this place.

Summary: Just returned from a very enjoyable week at Volet Lavande. The house is very beautifully furnished and well equipped. inside and out. Lovely lounge and bedrooms very comfortable (nice fresh bedding). The best bit was the outside seating area, most evenings spent here playing Trivial Pursuit (from the games cupboard). Outside games room also a hit with children, as was the pool. The house is located quite close to numerous lovely villages / towns, Chinon & Saumer we particularly enjoyed. We can also highly recommend the restaurant at the end of Mill Lane, Maison De Pays (on the Main Road). Would we go back, definitly.

Summary: Beautiful house with excellent facilities. We had a lovely family holiday in this delightful house. The pool was a wonderful relief in the 40 degrees heatwave! We had a great days out in local towns which had interesting history as well a good restaurants. Debbie, the house manager was extremely helpful over the course of the week. I would definitely recommend this house for a family stay.

Summary: Just back from Volet Lavande and really loved our stay. The property is firstly beautiful and secondly it's well kitted out and comfortable. Everything in the house is intuitive to use, which is sometimes not the case with rentals. The garden with outdoor seating area, games room, pool, BBQ were great, kids loved them. The house is set in a rural area, but super handy for a large supermarket and the nearest town isn't far either. Great place to explore the Loire Valley and it's multitude of amazing villages and chateaux. We were looked after really well by the housekeeper after we experienced a couple of mishaps in our trip. Thoroughly recommend this property.

Summary: We enjoyed a wonderful week in Les Volets Lavandes. The house is very comfortable and well appointed. The children really enjoyed the pool. The location is excellent for those wishing to visit the Chateaux west of Tours. If we returned to the area, we would certainly stay in this house again and have no hesitation in recommending it.
