5 Bedroom Villa in Runaway Bay, Montego Bay

Seven Palms Villa is a 5 bedroom, 6 bathroom single story home, with a well maintained two acre yard, bordering The Runaway Bay Golf Course, and just a short walk to the beach. We are a great place for friends and family to vacation in casual comfort. No need to over pack, as our staff will do the laundry, ironing, cooking, cleaning and maintain the pool and yard.
Seven Palms Villa offers gardens inside and out. Our five bedrooms and the reading room are positioned to circle around the fountain garden. Our waterfall garden greets you when you enter villa and opens to the living room. And the bamboo garden sits between our kitchen and dining room. We have a HUGE family room and veranda with enough room for everyone to stretch out and get comfortable. The sliding glass doors open wide to allow our beautiful Jamaican breeze to enter off the veranda. This creates a wonderfully open feel and a lovely view of our freshwater swimming pool and outdoor gardens. There are two steps that lead down to the pool with a short gate that doesn’t detract from the view but does prevent young children from accessing the pool by mistake. The glass doors can easily be closed and allow air-conditioning to cool the house in the evening and prevent mosquitos from creating a nuisance. The living room has a large entertainment center with a large screen tv with dvd player. We also offer; wifi in the living room (although the island service can be unpredictable), and cable tv in each bedroom as well as in the living room. Our villa is child friendly and stocked with a hi-chair, pack & play, baby monitor, stroller, pool toys, board games and movies. A Nanny can even be arranged for $35 per day with advance notice.
Seven Palms villa offers two master bedrooms. One with a large sunken tub / shower and the other with a huge two-person shower with dual shower heads and a built-in bench. Both master bedrooms have a second door that opens to a private patio and the backyard. All of the bedrooms offer air-conditioning, glass windows (which means no mosquitos coming through the slats) their own bathroom and a king size bed, that can be replaced with single beds or bunkbeds (there is a small labor fee to disassemble and replace beds) We regularly host groups that request bunkbeds in all rooms and bring up to 20 guests.
Our kitchen includes all the modern conveniences. Of course, most guests prefer to have our cook prepare their meals. As most people would agree with us when we say that vacation time shouldn't include cooking! Seven Palms supplies a cook to look after your meals. Simply plan your menu and the times you would like your meals served and let our staff do the rest. (the cost of food is not included)
Our yard is amazing. 4x the size of typical villa yard and offering so much to see. We are very proud of it and of our gardeners who do such an amazing job caring for the wide variety of flowers, trees and fruit, including; ackee, bread fruit, pomegranate, coconut, sour sap, naseberry, lemons, limes and our favorite the bananas and mangos. Our gardeners love showing guests around and are happy to pick you samples of whatever fruit is in season during your stay.
Just a short walk from the villa and included with your villa rental is access to the private Cardiff Hall Beach which has beach chairs, picnic tables, bathrooms and showers. Within walking distance from this villa there are actually four beaches that you will have access to; two private and two public beaches, a water sports center, a PADI dive center, several restaurants and seaside bars that offer daytime enjoyment and for a true Jamaican experience for Sunset happy hour and an evening meals. The second private beach is our own beach that we call Jamaica Breeze. This beach has kayaks, snorkeling equipment and the ability to build a bonfire on the beach at night. It also sits next to the Bus Stop Mission, that offers a wonderful Craft and Culture tour, that we highly recommend. *
We are within a 20-minute drive of many popular Jamaican attractions, including; Dunn’s River and Konoko Falls, Dolphin Cove, Mystic Mountain, river tubing, deep sea fishing and some great shopping. Private transportation can easily be arranged by your villa staff.

Summary: This is a unique and beautiful property. The 5 bedrooms surround an interior courtyard with a fountain and frogs peeping in the plantings at night. There is lots of indoor and outdoor communal space and a good sized swimming pool when you don't feel like walking down to the beach. The beach is a 10 minute walk away and you have to cross a busy road with no light. Once there it is quite nice and not crowded. One of the nicer beaches in Runaway Bay.

Summary: Our family stayed at Seven Palms for 10 days and left feeling relaxed and indulged, having fallen in love with Jamaica, Seven Palms and the many lovely people we met. If you would like the experience of staying in a small hotel, where your meals are freshly prepared, and staff take care of you, but the privacy of a well appointed home, then Seven Palms is ideal. The villa exceeded expectations (the photos don't do it justice), and the friendly, welcoming staff, from Kevin who met us at the airport on arrival, to Abby (property manager), and Carlene and Elizabeth (who prepared delicious meals including breakfasts of fruit fresh from the villa's garden, and local specialities), Sylvan and the grounds team, all of whom made us feel instantly at home (we also have to mention Koda and Susan). Having access to private beaches, as well as the villa's watersports equipment (kayaks and snorkelling kit), meant we didn't have to worry about organising anything and could make the most of being close to the sea. Tips on places to see and things to do were exactly what we were looking for, and we would highly recommend Resort Divers (recommended by the owners). What we loved: -experiencing Jamaica without the filter of a formulaic resort hotel -meeting locals, including the staff at the villa, -eating home-cooked Jamaican food -the beautiful grounds of the villa and the large swimming pool -eating breakfast on the veranda whilst watching hummingbirds dart around the feeders hanging from the veranda roof -proximity to the sea -visiting the Irie Blue Hole and falls -Abby's advice to do sight-seeing when there are no cruise ships docked -Jamaican patties, festival, and the jerk chicken at Scotchies at Draxhall, Ocho Rios -diving and snorkelling around the reefs -dinner at Shells'-on-the-Beach and the lovely owner, Shelly Seven Palms offers the perfect holiday for a family, or two, who want to get to know Jamaica, but also have plenty of home comforts. We loved every day there and are already planning a return visit!

Summary: First time in Jamaica and first time renting a house. There were 9 of us. Booking through the app was amazingly simple. We communicated with the house prior to arrival our few needs. The issues began before arrival. Many things that were advertised were not available. Talking with the owners the gaming system would not be available and none of the safes would be available. A couple days out the house manager Abbey contacted me for info. She was very helpful in explaining everything. Unfortunately she had to let us know that the tennis court would not be operational. No frisbies. Not much of the sports equipment advertised would be available. All of these were the reason we booked this house. The house contracted a driver for the week. Willie was the best but we were told the van would hold all 9 of us plus our luggage. Luckily and unfortunately one of us missed their flight. So with only 8 of us and luggage we barely fit in the van. We noticed the house van parked the whole week. Upon arrival to the house we were greeted by the house manager Abbey,  grounds keeper Melbourne and house keeper Carlene. The online pictures do the house no justice. It's much bigger than expected. The entryway is beautiful . The living room area is huge with massive patio doors on both sides. They really open up the house. The patio is much bigger than expected with lounge chairs and tables galore. The bedroom area surrounds the fountain. With all 5 bedrooms, a linen closet and a sitting area with a cabinet full of books.The kitchen and dining hall are beautiful as well. Modern appliances with lots of cooking space and utensils. 2 fridges. 2 tropical courtyards. Decent sized pool. A full bar with slushy machines that we didn't use and an ice machine. It's a older house that's being refurbished in sections. The grounds were tropical. All kinds of Flora. We saw humming birds on the patio. Access to Cardiff hall semi private beach was an amazing add onAbbey and Melbourne assisted in setting up a section for us. Jamaica breeze beach was nice but the sea weed would build daily. Shelly's restaurant was delicious and plentiful and right on the water. Extremely fresh seafood. The staff took great care of us. Carlene kept the house immaculate. Washed our clothes. Hellory cooked up delicious meals daily. Issues. WiFi worked partially. 2 showers in our room but one shower handle. Vermin showed up mid week but it's the tropics. Many blown lights. Electric outlets out. Etc.

Summary: Loved the beach, snorkeling and kayaking. Enjoyed fresh mango, pomegranate and neese berry picked right in the yard. I also really like that the part of the swimming pool and pool deck was in the shade. The Temperpedic bed in the master bedroom is one of the most comfortable beds I have slept on away from home.

Summary: We would go back tomorrow! Seven Palms is definitely the way to go, especially if you have children. The staff took the guesswork out of vacationing. We were met at the airport by the Villa driver. He even stopped on the way to the Villa to introduce us to jerk chicken! He was very knowledgeable of the area and helped us plan our week. The Villa itself is absolutely gorgeous and is more than enough room for our entire family. Each of our children got their own beautiful room. The Peacock room is my personal favorite though. Love the bathroom!!! The Villa staff was friendly and we loved being able to leave our children with them to run to the local market. The cooks were amazing! We told them we wanted authentic Jamaican cuisine for the week. They went to the grocery store with us and helped us purchase the food. After that, they took eating out of our hands and prepared the most delicious foods every meal. They even surprised the kids with brownies and smoothies! It was wonderful having access to two different beaches to explore and swim. We stayed at the villa for a week and easily could have just stayed in house without exploring! The driver was so knowledgable and helped us to find kid-friendly things to do. Glistening Waters is a must for anyone! He also helped to convert our money as well as alleviate any safety worries we had vacationing with children. Don't forget to ask him to take you to get patties! My son wanted to bring patties home with us!
