Summary: We loved this little property. You could tell that a lot of love went into it, and the gardens are absolutely amazing! We really love that it was also pet friendly, so we could bring our willow and not have to worry at all.

Summary: My partner and I visited for the weekend and had such a wonderful trip. It was genuinely so quiet, perfect if you need a quiet peaceful escape surrounded by trees. I was surprised by how large the outdoor spaces were, with multiple different areas to sit on outdoor chairs and couches, depending on if you wanted shade or more sun. The gardens were so lovely too, and the hot tub was perfect. It felt very private as well with our our private entrance and pathway. The inside was great and even larger than expected. The kitchen was a little tight with limited counter space if you're planning to cook full meals as we did, but that's to be expected, and it worked out just fine. There were plenty of pots/pans, cooking utensils, some spices and teas, and such. The only thing we forgot to bring was EVOO, but David was so sweet and brought us a nice bottle with a plate of fresh berries. The TVs worked great as well (there are two, one Smart TV with Netflix and other apps). The AC was powerful and kept most of the space very cool in July (it didnt entirely reach the bedroom but it was still plenty cool enough to sleep). Overall it was a dream and I'll definitely plan to come back for a little getaway!

Summary: We were greeted by a man who did not provide his first name. In the living rm he asked us to sign in & presented a book that had us add our name, address, & phone #. Later, we realized it was nothing more than a guest book so we returned to the living rm to cross out our personal info & the book was gone - he took it with him and locked it in his office. The place is dark with hardly any windows which is unfortunate b/c the surrounding gardens r very nice. He let us know the place has an ant infestation (we could see them on the ceiling & the hole in the wall they were using to enter the house) & he handed us a spray bottle w/ bleach saying we could use that to kill them during our stay. The sliding screen door on the double doors to enter the garden off of the living room were busted with him actually ripping one out just before we existing the living room b/c he couldn't get it to slide open. Also, the shades on the double doors are broke & since the room has no windows, we couldn't see outside. The bedroom does not have an air conditioner but the living rm 3 rooms away does. Our room was really hot, the mattress was terrible & was a Full so it was really uncomfortable for 2 people & we had a terrible night's sleep. Finally, the 'private' garden where the hot tub & sauna is located is a designated clothing option space. I was passing thru wearing a robe when a strange & creepy man from the adjacent property entered the garden and took something out of the shed.

Summary: The host was nice and the garden was beautiful. We really enjoyed the little hydrotherapy area with the outdoor shower, hot tub, sauna and cold plunge. Fun place to go and just relax and read a book. It was a hot summer day and the small wall air conditioner unit is on the opposite side of the house from the bedroom, so it was hot sleeping even with the window open. The hosts live right next to the house. Their office is part of the same guest building and shares a front door area. With the doors kept open for airflow it was not the private setting I was expecting, but they kept to themselves and were nice hosts. I would return for another stay sometime.

Summary: My only regret is that we were just passing through and didn’t have more time to enjoy the property. Excellent amenities, quiet, beautiful, very close to St. Helens, wonderful decorations and hosts. Even the coffee was good. Next time we’re in the area, we will be definitely looking at an extended stay.

Summary: So, just some thoughts on previous comments: 1) I could not hear the rooster at all inside. The only time I heard it was 4 pm one of the days I stayed. 2) the Internet was really easy to connect to and 3) backing up was like 50 ft, if you can't do that you perhaps driving lessons. On to my review. The garden is absolutely amazing. I mean, you have to see it to understand. There are so many features, it's incredible. Also the hot tub was very nice and secluded. And there were so many shady spots to sit. My friend and I just read for hours one of the days out our stay. The drive in, too, has incredible views of Mt St Helens. Downtown had all these lovely little shops, I recommend the Parwell Farms and Quilting shop, and the vault bookstore. It was a wonderful weekend and I would definitely stay there again. You can tell the owners have put an incredible amount of though and heart into their little getaway.

Summary: The property was decent But not great. We had to turn on the heat when we arrived because the house was freezing. This should have been done by the managers before we arrived. Also, we were looking forward to the hot tub, But it wasn’t working that day. We liked the garden and the house in general was nice. Just be aware that this house has restrictions. They asked us to not leave lights on because they are on solar, But the heat in the living room was electric so we were confused about that. It’s in a nice quiet area, But they have a rooster. It is really meant for two people and no children. The driveway is a dead end so you have to back out a bit to get turned around. Oh, and the WiFi info in the book didn’t give you the name of WiFi, just the password. Also, bring your own food and beverages. Just know, the fridge is small and there is no microwave. I really don’t like giving bad reviews, but how can owners know what they need to improve on?

Summary: We drove up from Portland and although the drive wasn't long it really felt like we were out in the country. The atmosphere was relaxing and cozy. The hosts were informative, friendly and unobtrusive. I think staying 2 nights would have been even better than our 1.
