A getaway for respectful families and couples:
This place is reserved for those who will appreciate and respect the beauty and integrity of this precious setting. Young people under 30, parties, evening events, or weddings are not permitted, in order to preserve the peace and magic of the site.
Booking conditions:
• The rate is listed per person on our website.
• If you wish to host more people, an additional fee of €50 per night per person will be charged upon arrival.
• For a weekend stay: arrival between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday, departure in the late afternoon on Sunday.
• For a week: arrival from 4 p.m. on Saturday, departure at 9:30 a.m. the following Saturday.
• Upon departure, a security deposit of €1,000 will be requested and refunded if everything is in order.
• Consumption costs (electricity, water, heating) will be settled based on actual usage, with a metering system at check-in and check-out for fair and transparent billing, especially with the advent of electric vehicles.

Summary: We have all had an amazing time at this property. Stephanie was fantastic with communication in the run up to our trip, and once we arrived we couldn't have had a better time. The location was ideal and there was plenty of space for all of us to relax and spend time together. I miss it already!

Summary: We spent a perfect week with family and friends and our dogs at the house. We took superbe walks in the beautiful woods surrounding the house and visited some of the amazing castles in Loire valley.

Summary: We wanted somewhere special to celebrate our 50th Anniversary with three generations of our family (7 adults and 4 children). Gite des Orfeuilles met and exceeded our expectations. The setting is remote but incredibly tranquil, secluded and beautiful. It is a bit of a trek to the nearest supermarkets but we somehow turned this into an 'event'. Daily bread deliveries are reliable and early - and we discovered that the boulangerie also makes fantastic croissant, pain au chocolate and other goodies. . The gite complex offered everything we needed to be self-contained and fully occupied. We were incredibly lucky with the weather, so the pool was in constant use, but there were plenty of other diversions on offer for our grandchildren (such as boule, tennis, fishing, table tennis and space for the many games we brought with us) - and the separation from neighbours meant we never worried about the noise the kids made. The situation is also perfect for outings to sightsee, canoe and soak up the Loire/Cher region. Stephanie and David are charming, attentive and effective hosts. The arrival chat was friendly, informative and helpful, as were the information book and tourist leaflets in the house. Later in the week minor problems were quickly and effectively resolved without fuss. Checking out was straightforward - and it felt a little like saying goodbye to newly made friends. If this is the sort of break you are looking for, I can't recommend it highly enough; we loved it..

Summary: This house was perfect for a big family gathering. The pool was great, the house was well stocked with plates and glasses etc. and having two separate houses made it very easy for all age groups. Large comfy beds, lots of bathrooms. Thank you!

Summary: The property is ideal for families with 2 spacious homes to allow for great family enjoyment. We all enjoyed the large property and especially the pool where the kids spent a lot of their time. You must order the baguettes and the croissants to complete the experience. Stephanie and David are excellent hosts.

Summary: We stayed at this beautiful house with four adults and two children and thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay. The property beautifully set in the forest, but a short drive from everything the local area has to offer. Stephanie was a wonderful host and great communication throughout. The children loved the pony riding at the beautiful equestrian centre next to the property. High recommend.

Summary: From the start we had very good communication with Stéphanie. The property is as described on the website. Clean, very spacious, rural, comfortable beds, beautifully furnished. The barn with it’s games space, including table tennis and table football was a bonus for the children. The adults hardly used the indoor space at all except for preparing food and sleeping. Kitchen very well equipped. The pool was well used by all. Sitting out every evening sipping wine as we waited for the stars and bats to appear was fab.

Summary: We were lucky enough to spend a week at this property and it was just what we needed. Stephanie and David are fantastic hosts and make sure that you have all the information you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The house and surrounding area was beautiful, set in a tranquil forest with opportunities to walk and enjoy the French countryside. It had all the facilities you could need. Whilst the wifi wasn't working during our stay (not the owners fault), Stephanie generously left us some bottles of wine to compensate! We had great fun in the amazing swimming pool and spent lots of time on the decking, playing table tennis and other games. This property and the owners are highly recommended and we would love to visit again. Thank you Stephanie! Andrew
