Nestled among whispering pines, quaking aspens and bold oak trees, Our Gilmore Lake House is a Northwoods oasis equipped to fulfill the needs of your stay, whether you are looking for a peaceful escape from the city or an activity-filled vacation with loved ones.
Your stay at the Lake House provides free access to water-bound activities including (2) kayaks and (2) paddleboards. A dock is provided directly in front of the house if you are bringing or renting your own boat.
Gilmore Lake is approximately 400 acres and 31 feet deep allowing for a full recreational experience. The Lake is home for Northerns, Bass, Walleye and Pan fish. You’ll make family memories by catching fish right off the dock!!

Summary: Beautiful lake home, spacious bedrooms, and living rooms, dock was perfect to tie off boats, plenty of room for kids to run inside and outside, loved the fire pit at night, little swim beach area perfect for the littles. Fishing was excellent on Lake Gilmore, caught big crappies great size for fileting. Only con is the parking, it was a little challenging to park 3 boats but not a big deal for us we figured it out. Hope to be back next year!

Summary: Our two families (10 ppl total) with kids between 10-16 had a great week at the lake. They had lots of extra toys in the shed for the lake which were great, kayaks, SUP’s, life jackets etc, and the firepit was perfect! The photos of the house are accurate, and there isn’t really a beach per se, especially when the water level is high. Luckily we had friends with a house on the same lake that have a great beach, so we spent most our time there and on the boat. We did have a little mouse friend visit us in the kitchen, but that’s bound to happen! I would say it would’ve been tight to have any more than 10 people with the ages of our kids. Some additional pillows and lake towels would be nice. Lots of bugs so don't forget your bug spray!

Summary: Photos don't do the property justice. Nice lawn on lake side gentle slope to lake no stairs. Shallow walk in to lake. Toddlers loved to play there. Nice metal dock with a bench at the end to viee the lake. Lots of pots pans spices etc to cook for big groups. Even plastic plates cups for the little ones. Lots of toys in shed- kayaks. SuPs, KamJam to name the major ones. Extra bedroom was a nice surprise as we were able to separate the napping kids. 1/2 hour drive to Hayward or Spooner. Nice shaded and trees for privavy. Extra wide lot too. Seating in upstairs family room for 7 adults. Downstairs level family room noise cannot be heard by the bedrooms upstairs.
