Enjoy our beautiful luxury home on the Roaring Fork River. We are 15 minutes from downtown Aspen, accessible by McLain Flats or Highway 82. We are also on the Rio Grande Trail which you can ride, run or walk to Aspen or Carbondale. We are only a few blocks from the famous Woody Creek Tavern and the Woody Creek Community Center where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner. We are on the local bus system that will take you all the way to Aspen, Snowmass, Carbondale or Glenwood Springs. We are also in the Aspen School District with bus service at the top of our driveway for anyone interested in long term rentals
Our home is located in a lovely neighborhood called Little Texas. We have a beautiful park like area on the river. A great place for family and friends (no weddings or large gatherings, please).
The house has a large great room, consisting of the kitchen, dining and living room. Off that we have a wrap around deck overlooking the river. The master bedroom is on the main floor off of the great room. The office is on the main level as well.

Summary: We stayed with 2 other families the week after Christmas and for New Years!! House was WONDERFUL! Cozy, comfortable, practical and kitchen had everything we needed for big family meals!!! Comfortable beautiful bedrooms with gorgeous views and lots of fluffy pillows and duvets. Fantastic space and great condition! Kids had their own zone with games and adults had a perfect space to relax and chat with gorgeous fire going. Owners are friendly and helpful and the setting was AMAZING!!!!! It snowed everyday and the drive was plowed before we were up!!! We all hope to get back in the summer and next winter!!! Perfect for so many reasons!!!

Summary: Our group of four couples arrived on Saturday to a beautiful home on Woody Creek. The pictures of the house do not do justice to the interior; it was incredible! The living room greeted us with a view to a snow-covered backyard on the Creek. The bedrooms more than accommodated our group between the fabulous master suite upstairs, to the large and spacious bedrooms on the lower floor, to the apartment above the garage. The kitchen and wet bar areas exceeded our needs for the week and offered an wonderful option to enjoy the house by 'eating in' rather than feeling compelled to dine out every night. The hot tub, downstairs living room, and game room with table tennis, and foosball provided additional entertainment for us when we were not skiing in SnowMass, Aspen, or at Buttermilk. The landlord was very responsive and attended to any questions that our group had during our stay. We would highly recommend this property and look forward to returning here next season for our ski vacation.

Summary: We couldn't have been happier! This sums up our experience on our vacation and with the house and owner. The property and home are beautiful; it was a treat to sit in the hot tub and overlook the Roaring Fork River. We awoke each morning to an Eagle soaring over the river. The home was perfect....it was immaculate upon arrival and the design of the home and furnishings are beautiful. Each room was prettier than the next and fully stocked with everything we needed. The location in Woody Creek is perfect. We have many different levels of skiers and each morning various cars would drive the 5 - 10 minutes to either Buttermilk, Snowmass or Aspen. The access was unbelievable and we wonder why we haven't stayed in this area before. We feel so fortunate to have found this home and Lindy was flexible, generous and kind to accommodate all of our needs. This was our first experience with VRBO and it really set the bar high. Don't miss out on this home!

Summary: This rental had absolutely everything you could think of when looking for a luxury rental....well stocked kitchen, heated floors, loads of space, big dining area and on and on!!!! Oh and of course the hot tub was awesome! We went to bed each night to the sound of the river and each morning we were greeted with a hot air balloon going over the mountains. The view was spectacular! We skiied 3 days and hiked 3 days and all was within 20-30 minutes away. Aspen is a short scenic drive away as well. Lindy and Tom, the owners, went out of their way to make sure all was good and if we needed anything, they were great to deal with!

Summary: Had a wonderful trip to Aspen, 3 generations celebrating a 60th birthday. Accommodations were as described, clean, well maintained... the home is beautiful and had everything we needed and more (heated garage, tons of space (we had 10 people), hot tub, internet wifi, fireplace, large laundry room, two kitchens, multiple open living areas, nice linens, mud room, ping pong, foosball, comfortable furnishings... the list goes on). Short drive to snowmass and town. Owners are very helpful and responsive. Highly recommended. Looking forward to returning.

Summary: This is at the top of our list for best vacation houses for a group of friends or families. There were three living areas, spacious bedrooms, two kitchens, killer laundry room set in the beautiful Roaring Fork River Woody Creek area. Owners were easy to work with and responsive. We had one member of our party that is disabled and with the first floor master he had perfect accommodations. I highly recommend this house if skiing. This side of Woody Creek is surprisingly close and convenient to Snowmass and Buttermilk. We stayed on Snowmass last year and found this house more spacious and just a little further away. We hope to return next year.

Summary: This home was an absolute dream! My family and friends stayed here during our recent participation in the Winter X Games. It was soooo nice to escape the stress of Buttermilk activities and find a place where we could just lay back, rest and find peace. The amenities were first class. We never lacked anything! The fully stocked kitchen, the luxurious bedding and linens, the amazing view from the hot tub, all things combined helped us bring home some Winter X hardware, consisting of GOLD, SILVER AND BRONZE!!! There is not one negative thing to say about this fabulous house. Before we left, I made sure to let the owner know that we had a unanimous decision to stay here again next year if the Games return to Aspen. I would definitely love to stay here during the summer as well! I can only imagine what that backyard river must be like in the warmth of July!

Summary: THE HOUSE Our experience was absolutely fabulous. The pictures don't do the house justice as its spacious yet cozy with all of the comforts of home. There is great energy throughout . The views of the river are amazing and I loved waking up to the roar of the river. THE LOCATION The location was ideal particularly ease of access to Basalt, Snowmass and Aspen. The Woody Creek Tavern is 3 minute walk and has the best chicken enchilladas and margaritas. THE LANDLORDS The Melbergs are lovely people who are not only attentive to your needs but we enjoyed socializing with them on a number of occassions. I can't say enough great things about them. Integrity. PS. If you are looking at renting in July 2012 please disregard this review, it is a terrible place, just aweful, stay away, it's no good, stay home.... cause We'll be BACK!
