6 Bedroom House in Jose's Hideaway, Captiva

This oceanfront 6 bedroom home is located on North Captiva Island and can accommodate up to 16 people. It comes with the North Captiva Island Club membership which is an additional bonus, giving our guests access to all that the club has to offer: 2 heated swimming pools, large hot tub, poolside restaurant & bar, and kayaks, paddle boards and bicycles just a 4 minute golf cart ride away.
The views from this home are absolutely amazing, best on the island. You can see dolphin and manatees as they swim by daily. On the lower level beach deck is comfortable seating which makes a fun area to hang out and have a drink plus is very close to the beach for retrieving beverages while hanging out on the beautiful beach in front of the house. This home's location doesn't get any better!
There are 6 Ocean view bedrooms in our home:
Bedrooms 1-4 feature King size beds
Bedroom 5 features a Queen size bed
Bedroom 6 features 2 twin & Full size bunk room
Queen pullout in upper level living room
Queen pullout in lower level sitting area
Pack & play & high chair.
We also own a dock close to our home for boaters wanting to dock their boat.
The upper level living area has great views and features a large screen smart TV and high speed internet great for multiple guests to watch movies and also do Zoom meetings when needed. There are 2 decks on the upper level and 2 decks on the lower level, so there is plenty of room for your entire group!
The kitchen is granite and stainless steel and fully equipped for the chef in your group! Our dining table seats 12 and the bar area seats an additional 4 for large groups.
There are also delicious restaurants on the island for nights when you don't feel like cooking. Additionally, you can hire one of the private chefs on the island to come to your vacation rental home to prepare a gourmet meal for your group right in the home.
Massages on the beach are also available during your vacation for the ultimate in relaxation!
This beach is also known for it's shelling and guests spend hours finding unique beautiful shells, sea horses, sand dollars and star fish.
The beach directly in front of the house is ever changing and a beautiful place to sit and relax and enjoy the sunset or watch your kids swim. The beach that touches the north side of our house is one of the largest sandy beaches on the island as we have no neighbouring house on this side so it is great for large groups. This is one of the best features of this oceanfront vacation home!
Boat, Jet Ski and Paddle board rentals are also available on the island. Fishing charters are also very popular and there are many captains to take you out. Another fun way to spend the day is on a boating charter island hopping to the different restaurants on one of the neighbouring islands.
North Captiva is an exclusive destination with all of the luxuries of the mainland. You feel as if you are on a Caribbean island without having to leave the U.S. This is a place that you will want to return to year after year!

Summary: The location is best on island from what I could tell. You can see gulf and bayside. Sunsets are amazing. Wildlife and seashells abound. The beaches are secluded for the most part with an occasion couple or family but night and day when compared to some of the more “touristy” places we have stayed along 30A. We will most certainly return. The owner and caretakers went out of their way to ensure our stay was amazing. Stephanie, Wendy and Bob were excellent communicators!

Summary: Perfect beachfront spot, twenty-five feet from the water. We saw dolphins and tarpon right in front of the house. Each night we watched the most beautiful sunsets and fell asleep to the waves. Absolutely incredible.

Summary: We had a very big group for a week and this home was perfect. Location couldn’t have been any better and everyone was extremely helpful. Not only was the house/owner great everyone on the island were great too. It was windy while we stayed so we spent a lot of time at the pool. The pool area was just as beautiful. We loved it so much and hope to go back.

Summary: The house had an amazing location literally right on the beach. Being able to hear the waves from inside the house and on the porch was really neat. Also, being able to just walk outside and onto the beach was perfect! I will say that the house is definitely in need of some updates. Some windows leaked quite a bit during the storm and the bathrooms were small and needed updated faucets. While the house is on the beach and sand was expected, the floors definitely could have been swept better before we arrived. There were numerous collections of dust and dirt in bedrooms and living rooms and the rugs looked very dirty. Despite some of those upgrades and cleanliness issues, the location was fantastic and we had a great trip!

Summary: The Island makes you relax and take life down a notch plenty to enjoy while you’re there. Kayaking saw dolphins within 20 feet playing and jumping out of the water. sightseeing for wildlife was a pleasure. You have access to two different pools and one hot tub. Mangos bar and grill had great cocktails and food wonderful people. The host Stephanie was Awesome as well as Bob and Wendy Lee the caretakers they wanted to make your stay is a special one for sure and we’re easy to get in touch with if you had any questions. Can’t say enough such a pleasure.

Summary: It really is hard to put this experience in just a few words. It was a perfect fit for the 12 of us! Beautiful and comfortable! Stephanie was so kind and helpful. Bob and Wendy, the amazing hosts, were so informative, kind and easy to reach. This beach house is truly paradise! The beaches were beautiful, shelling and fishing were so fun it was so hard to leave. If you want a truly peaceful and relaxing vacation go to the Big House on the Beach! You will never regret it.

Summary: A true beach house… Nothing fancy but all the essentials and then some. A great 6 bdr layout for large families. Best location on the island! The only downside is their 8 AM check out, but we requested a later time and they happily accommodated us. Fantastic week!

Summary: The location of this property is amazing with it being directly on the beach! We woke every morning to watching the diverse wildlife in the water and along the beach from our balconies, and the most amazing sunsets every evening! We went around the whole island and I’m not sure there is another house with this unique vantage point on the beach. We had our whole family, siblings, nieces and nephews, and parents, and all slept comfortably. We also do a lot of cooking and their kitchen was well stocked with quality kitchen items and a nice newer grill! The property owner and care takers were wonderful and very responsive, even helped us arrange transportation when we had a medical emergency.
