Year-round home with large, chef-friendly kitchen that opens to dining area (with large table for 10+) and spacious, comfortable living space with knotty pine through-out. One level living. Slate tile floors with in-floor heat. Stone fireplace, 3 season porch and large patio overlooking lower Kimball Lake. Flagstone path to 6-person Barrel Sauna (electric), easy and fast heat-up! Ringed fire pit overlooking pines and lake.
Master bedroom with king bed and private bath with tub and separate shower. 2 bedrooms with Queen beds and one of them with extra twin. 4th bedroom with King bed and twin. All beds high quality mattresses, 100% cotton sheets with high thread count and quality pillows. Large 2nd bath with over-sized shower. Full-sized laundry, enough towels for bath, beach and beyond, extra linens for all beds. Endless games and puzzles (no TV, DVD, or Wifi ).
Beautiful private path down hill and walkway through wild, tamarack bog to lake's edge. Large dock, floating raft, shallow-sandy bottom swim area (no beach). Kayaks, canoes, and floaties too! Winter brings ice skating, boot hockey, and ice fishing on the lake. Cross country skiing, snow shoeing and sledding on property, groomed trails nearby.
Ceiling Fans, AC, in-floor and forced-air heat, dishwasher, gas stove, coffee maker, charcoal weber grills, most small appliances needed for endless baking/cooking desires.

Summary: Beautiful property with access to a very quiet lake. One of the best supplied properties we have ever stayed at. We enjoyed relaxing with a cup of coffee listening to the loons in the morning, reading, some paddle boarding adventure on the lake, and evenings of laughter and fun playing games. Wonderful place to unwind and get away with our grown children.

Summary: My family had a great time at the bog this winter. We enjoyed the sledding hill and sauna. The cabin and property were beautiful. There was easy communication with the host. Thanks for letting us stay :)

Summary: This was our second stay at The Bog and we loved it again! The kitchen is nicely stocked with everything you may need and open to the dining area for great family meals. Plus, plenty of bedrooms, comfortable beds, and enough space for a large family. It's a beautiful walk through the bog to the lake. We loved kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boarding on the crystal-clear water. We also had fun fishing from the large dock, relaxing in the deck chairs, and watching the most amazing sunsets. We will definitely be back!

Summary: We stayed at the Bog a couple of years ago. Same group, same weekend. The home is great and the location was perfect for us. Used the sauna each morning and had a great fire Saturday evening.

Summary: It was simply a pleasure to stay at The Bog! The house was roomy, clean and had all the necessities we wanted. Of course, though, we wanted to spend all the time we could outside enjoying the beautiful nature around The Bog. We loved the paddle boards, watching the Bald Eagles, and sunsets over the grassy bog land that leads up to the water. The Bog is a special place and we look forward to returning soon!

Summary: Our family stayed at the Bog for the 2nd time and loved every minute! The lake home is absolutely beautiful and so comfortable. We had all the comforts of home, and love the cook’s kitchen and large dining room table that comfortably sat our family of 10 people. We prepared many delicious meals together! The bog and lake views are breathtaking. It’s such a unique home and property. We have 7 children combined and there was plenty to do with all the paddle boards, kayaks and canoes and swim raft. Our children had a blast on the lake! We watched every gorgeous sunset from the dock and enjoyed stargazing (lots of shooting stars!) Ann and family were so accommodating and always responded to any text messages. I highly recommend this home. We already cannot wait to visit again next year!

Summary: Property was as described. Peaceful, wooded with lake access. Family enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks. Kitchen had everything you needed for large family to cook together. All beds were extremely comfortable.

Summary: The place was clean, thoughtfully prepared and very comfortable - a perfect retreat space for our family of 8! I can be rather particular about kitchen supplies so I was very impressed with the ample serving, eating and cooking tools available. :) Ann and I had a phone conversation prior to booking, going over all the important details and answering all my questions, which I very much appreciated! The land and lake was serene and we so enjoyed exploring and appreciating the natural beauty there. <3
