Upon entering the teak gate and landscaped grounds you'll find Campo de Sueños a hidden pearl in the humble town of Paraiso, near a string of beautiful beaches: Playa Negra, Callejones, Blanca, Junquillal, and Avellanas, Campo de Sueños is right on the Pacific Gold Coast; a mile from the beach; situated in the Nandamojo Valley (https://www.paradisecostarica.org/about-the-nandamojo-valley) nestled on an abundant aquifer. Our house can be reached almost all the way on a paved road via simple directions, in under 1.5 hours, door to door, from the Liberia International Airport. Food shopping available along the way. The rugged neighborliness of the local area is inviting and relaxing. The canopy of surrounding trees, a corridor to howler monkeys and home for birds of every color, and the occasional anteater who enjoy the green surroundings and lush blossoms bursting with color, are what drew us to the property. Very close to many amenities but outside the hustle bustle of tourism; peaceful but not isolated; private but not remote, the house is perfectly located to reap the benefits of both access and quiet.
The lines of house—a contemporary oasis—space of the main room, solid construction, and hand-made wood details are comfortable and calming. It has 3 individual and elegantly peaceful bedrooms (one king, one queen with low twin and one with a bunk bed: twin up, full down and additional twin) as well as open plan kitchen/living area leading to a veranda right on the pool and gardens, making it an ample family or small group accommodation. New spanish bathroom tile, toilets, showers, new kitchen re-modeled with custom wood cabinets, concrete island and extended wood dining table. The new pool and outdoor teak/local-stone shower, coral stone deck and green surrounding grasses and blossoms provide a sublime all-day-long environment for utter down-regulating. Ranches, fincas, forests, jungle and beaches in every direction invite local jaunts. Amidst this private low key local environment there are many hidden restaurants, spas and services of all kinds to enhance your experience and pleasure. Obliging tourist amenities can be found for any activity such as nearby surf lessons, paddle boarding, yoga, massage, and sunset horseback riding.
This area has much to offer without being overwhelming and selling in your face... Excellent restaurants nearby: Zaguate, Lochitos, La Ventana, La Vida Buena, Jalapeño Eatery and Market, Kon Tiki… and the best is aimless walking on miles of peaceful beaches.
The closest beach, Playa Callejones, is a small gem of peace and seclusion; easy to walk to Playa Negra a famous surf break and chill zone with a restaurant right on the beach. We were stunned that such a beautiful place was not overrun with tourists and spoiled.
Special white insulating roof paint, 3 ac units, one for each bedroom, 4 fans in the living room and fans in every other room, including the bathrooms will offer any combination of temperature comfort and keeps the house comfortable in any weather.
Hand crafted hooks, benches and beds throughout the house, contemporary Spanish decorative tiles and other nuanced touches bring the spaces to life to create an atmosphere of spaciousness and coolness in which to relax and enjoy the property’s Guanacaste trees, birds, and a swim in the ocean or pool.
Adjacent to the private pool is a substantial veranda with two hammocks a ceiling fan, dining table and chairs and a barbecue offering a place for comfortable pool-side meals, naps and options for hanging out.

Summary: This is by far the best experience we've had with VRBO. The house and area are described perfectly. Kaethe recommended a fishing charter which was great. We caught yellowfin tuna and had fish for the whole stay! The beaches here are absolutely beautiful. This house is minutes from Playa Callejones. Easily accessible by car but close enough to walk. The property manager, Miguel, was very responsive to anything that came up or if we had questions. We love this place and hope to return soon.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at Campo de Sueños to the fullest. The location is really fantastic. The house is so close to some of the nicest beaches. And everything is available in the house, we didn't miss out anything. It was a very relaxing stay the area is very quiet. We really enjoyed it!

Summary: Our family of 5 loved our stay in Costa Rica! The pool was beautiful and well managed and the house was perfect for our 2 pre-teens and toddler. The chickens that hung out with us each morning were one of the highlights of the trip!

Summary: We loved our stay at Casa Sueños! We spent a month here and I don't believe I've felt so relaxed. It's a 7 minute drive away from 2 of the quietest, cleanest and most beautiful beaches. There is a lovely little restaurant two houses away that we frequented often. You do need a car, but we felt safe on the property and enjoyed the pool in between beach visits. Kaethe and Miguel are awesome! They answer all your questions, have great ideas of where to get fresh fish and vegetables and really respond right away - which is really important when staying in a guest house. Don't hesitate to stay here!

Summary: The pool was well used day & night. We kept it clean as best we could. Keeping the pool free of leaves was a daily task I enjoyed. Winds & monkeys kept us busy keeping the pool free of leaves. The location was just right to beach, restaurants, quick stores & bigger cities for groceries. We enjoyed watching the monkeys during late afternoon visits. It was nice having Netflix & Paramount channels to watch movies in the evenings. Open kitchen was nice during meal preparations as we discussed daily events.

Summary: Our group of five (friends + family) had a very relaxing 10-day stay at Campo de Sueños earlier this month. The house and property is lovely and felt spacious. We used the pool daily, cooked almost everyday, and ate our meals at the outdoor table on the veranda. We also enjoyed meals at nearby restaurants, and ate at the one that's practically next door (a 3-minute walk) more than once. The many beaches nearby are all beautiful, though each is unique. I came to especially love Playa Blanca (and the bluff above it at sunset), and Playa Callejones for swimming, though the others are equally beautiful (particularly for surfing and/or enjoying a drink/bite at the beach). Howler monkeys visited overhead at the property, as did many birds + butterflies. Overall, a magical stay in a magical spot. Thank you Kaethe and Miguel!

Summary: We spent 3 amazing weeks at Campo de Sueños and it was the best experience I have ever had with VRBO. The house and property were both amazing and had attention to every detail from the wonderful pool and treed property to the coffee grinder! Kaethe the host was attentive and informative from the very beginning and was always helpful with wonderful knowledge about the area for things to do and where to shop and eat. Miguel was also amazing as the grounds manager by staying on top of day to day needs and arranging connections to local needs. The area is perfect. Quiet enough to find your own private spot at the beach, with many activities and great restaurants nearby. We will definitely be back.
