3 Bedroom House in West Point

The house boasts open indoor space with room to relax, unwind, play or work.
All three bedrooms have ceiling fans and black out curtains for a good night's sleep - but when open, the view of the river is magical.
There is dock access to the river for swimming, boating or you can sit under the beautiful pergola (with romantic twinkle lights in the evening) and enjoy the view.
A fire pit helps light up the peaceful nights and is fun for marshmallows, smores or hot dogs.
There is also a propane grill on site for your cookouts.
The kitchen is fully stocked with plates, bowls, glasses, utensils, cookware and a Keurig machine (please bring pods).
Three of the five acres have beautiful perennial wildflowers. There is also plenty of room for a friendly game of football, baseball or a frisbee toss next to the house. The bank of the river is maintained with indigenous plants with just a mulch path to the dock (we believe in keeping the property as natural as possible).
The private drive ensures your time is yours alone to refresh and reload.

Summary: Peaceful and relaxing location. You can watch beautiful sunsets from the backyard and make s’mores in the fire pit. The house is very nice and comfortable and pet friendly. It is a great location to get away and relax while being less than an hour away from places to visit like the Historic Triangle of Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. Also close to Newport News, King’s Dominion and Busch Gardens. There is a grocery store within 15 minutes of the house and a small town you can visit local shops and restaurants nearby. The owner, Peggy, was very accommodating, helpful and easy to contact. I would highly recommend staying here.

Summary: My gf and I went for a long weekend to get away from the madness of dc. We were pleasantly surprised with this house. I have used VRBO many times and generally find the houses don’t always live up to the photos. This was the opposite. The photos don’t do this house justice! The interior is beautiful and spacious! But let’s be honest, we didn’t go to be in the house. The view from the dining table looks directly out to the river. The private dock is awesome, we spent an entire day laying out in the sun. S’mores every night at the fire pit. Lounging under the pergola on the outdoor couches. The stay was great. Just as important, if not more, Peggy and Mike were quick to respond and very accommodating. I texted while we were driving down asking if there was firewood for the fire pit. Mike made sure there was more than enough by the time we got there without hesitation. (Bring something to start that fire with though, we couldn’t find anything in the house). All said, we will absolutely return to this house.

Summary: The house is huge, modern and very comfortable with all the amenities and appliances that you need. The check in process was easy for entry. Very quiet in a country setting along the river. The host is very friendly, welcoming and easy to contact. Pet friendly getaway

Summary: This lovely cottage offers open living spaces with amazing views of the water. We enjoyed the outside space: sunning on dock, boating (we brought on our own kayaks), campfires at night. The dining room table was perfect for games and meals. While there were areas that need to be organized and cleaner, we were very comfortable and would come again.
