The entire Inn to include the full kitchen is all yours! Experience the Vaiden House, circa 1781, and slow down. Rest on the grounds of the Revolutionary War and the Civil War Trail. Walk among the 8 acres, where George Washington and other historic figures traveled. Relax on one of the several porches and patios, sit by the fire, or visit one of the local wineries. However you choose to spend your days, know that your nights will be comfortable in the Vaiden House. Where old world charm meets modern conveniences.
First Floor: The front main door leads you to the parlor, living room, and kitchenette. The parlor has an upright piano, dining table for 6 (with 2 extra chairs), and a coffee bar (drip and k-cup). The large living room has a leather reclining sofa, large streaming TV, and lots of games. Off the living room is a full bathroom. The kitchenette has a microwave, wine chiller, convection oven & air fryer, a 1-burner induction top, refrigerator, slow cooker, electric skillet, electric kettle, blender, ice maker and plenty of kitchen necessities. A china cabinet holds dishes, mugs, glassware, and wine glasses. Another door off the parlor has a large room with a California King bed.
Second Floor: The staircase leads to the upstairs foyer and 4 bedrooms with 2 full bathrooms. The King bedroom has a full bathroom. The smallest room has a full bed. The other 2 rooms are adjoining, with a 4-poster queen bed and canopy queen bed. The full bathroom with clawfoot tub is just off the back bedroom. Upstairs rooms have USB charging stations, coffee/tea bar, mini-fridges microwaves, clothing/hanging racks,iron/ironing board, and flat-panel HDTVs that stream Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Disney+ and more.
Enjoy the west and east porches, and large patio with café lighting, grills, and seating for outdoor entertaining. Take a stroll to the creek, down the trail through 8 acres of woods. There is a large fire-pit for enjoyment during permitted burning hours.

Summary: Vaiden Inn is a very comfortable place to stay. The property is beautiful and the hosts are very communicative and gracious. Coming in the fall afforded us some beautiful foliage on our way to Williamsburg. Although the kitchenette is small, it was well appointed. The bedrooms were gorgeous and the beds were so comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Summary: We have 12 in our family that stayed at the Vaiden Inn for our annual "Cousin Camp", 7 adults and 5 kids. The location couldn't be more perfect. Wonderful house, grounds and hosts.Jess and Bonnie made the stay perfect.

Summary: Beautiful historic home with well tended gardens, large lawn, and peaceful woodland in the back. The hosts were welcoming and extremely helpful. We also were impressed by the little “extras” thoughtfully provided. The house is perfect for a family, with room to spread out. My husband’s parents stayed in the king room on the first floor connected to a sitting area and the full kitchen. They appreciated the space and were the early risers of the group, so enjoyed coffee on the patio while others woke up. It was possible to close off their room and there was a full kitchenette attached to another cozy downstairs living room which also had a bathroom…so the older kids could stay up and enjoy themselves longer. We also enjoy a fire one night in the large outdoor fire pit. Overall we highly recommend!

Summary: The whole area around New Kent is full of history, but not all can boast of housing Martha Washington and hosting George as he courted her! It was a treat to be able to stay here. Marty’s Kitchen, across the street, offered tasty local dishes very reasonable priced. The only challenge we had was the location of the bathrooms. A couple of guests had to go through the room of another to get to the bathroom or go downstairs. Coffee availability was plentiful in the form of Keurigs in both floors. There were also carafes for brewing coffee and an ample supply of cream, sugar and substitutes along with a variety of teas. These were wonderful to have on hand so that we didn’t need a trip to the grocery store for those basics. The hosts met us promptly in person at checkin time and were more than gracious. It was a grand time for 5 long-term (never say “old!”) friends!

Summary: Six adults, three children and two dogs thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful Bed & Breakfast over the holidays! With plenty of space for everyone, and the most comfortable beds, Vaiden Inn couldn't have been more perfect. Close to Williamsburg, on 8 beautiful acres made for a great vacation.

Summary: Coming from a family, who owned a Victorian B&B for 2 decades, we know what going the extra mile and thinking of every little detail looks like. We have stayed in a lot of places, but have never felt more at home or more spoiled by every little “extra” amenity. From the first correspondence (Jess is amazing) to our departing conversation with Bonnie, the whole experience was amazing. We were there with three generations and we all loved it and cannot wait to go back. Thank you so, so much.
