This is a restful, casual home – 1700+ comfortably furnished square feet on one level, wonderful on sunny days and cozy when the “liquid sunshine” happens. Breezes from the lake refresh through the whole house.
The Lake -
Blue Lake covers 330 acres and has two county parks and one public boat launch. This lake has great fishing, boating, and wildlife viewing opportunities including nesting bald eagles.

Michigan’s adventure is 11 miles/20 minutes away.
We do not recommend swimming right by our shore. It is suitable for young kids to splash in but just beyond the dock is muddy and weedy. There is a roped swimming area a short walk or boat ride away at the county park.
We do not offer pontoon/motorboat rental but there are third party rentals nearby.
There is AC in the master bed and the living room. When you open the slider doors and windows a great breeze does wonders to cool the house.

Summary: We were so busy we had no time to enjoy this place’s main assets - the lake, dock, boats and outdoor sitting areas. Host was very kind and accommodating. This would be a great place for families with children as the dishes were plastic, so not breakable, and the water wasn’t scalding hot. Plenty of room to romp and play.

Summary: Our family of 7 fit easily in this house. Lame was so clear and clean, fishing perfect, location great! Just no phone service nor WiFi, that’s the only negative. We highly recommend.

Summary: The property has added new features like a dock, a firepit, and bunk beds. We loved the new arrangement, which allowed us to bring a canopy to keep us cool. The property managers responded immediately and fixed issues in less than an hour. We had a ton of fun fishing and listening to records. We love coming to this cabin and look forward to returning.

Summary: This house was wonderful, exactly as described. The use of a record player was a very nice touch. I don’t think the joy of seeing a large crane on the dock every day is properly communicated

Summary: The mornings were spent on the large deck with coffee taking in the view.afternoon the family went kayaking ,fishing, we brought a big raft floated allday,The evenings we enjoyed the nice fire pit and watched the sunsets! The house was very homey, roomy and clean with a beautiful view!

Summary: This was our second stay. As with the first visit, we found the property clean and very well stocked with everything we could need during our time at Blue Lake. We particularly enjoyed watching the eagles - 4 total - which spent their days on the pines directly across from the cottage and occasionally dove close to the dock to capture their dinner. We also used the kayaks to tour the lake each morning. If you are looking for a place to unplug from the world, this is your spot!
