Summary: We spent an absolutely marvellous holiday week in beautiful Villa Pondok Teman. The villa is affectionately decorated, well arranged - there was nothing we missed. Service and breakfast is excellent. We hope we will be able to come back soon. Thanks (terima kasih) for that pleasant stay.

Summary: Well, Bali is a beautiful spot for us since years and Guy's Villa is a nice place and well equipped. Yani, the maid, did a great job and was very friendly and helpful at any time. However, one should be very aware of some facts when booking this place. Just opposite the villa there is a large skater park where kids start skating early in the morning and would not stop before the evening, so we got prepared to have noisy days. But it was with much more surprise that there were 10-12 fighting cocks living outside in a garden very next door, just separated by a wall. The cocks were shouting all night long and didn't really matter which bedroom you picked, the cocks' noise was very loud. Despite we asked the owner several times if he could take care of the cocks, he was not able to find a sattisfying solution. So we left the villa after four days only to prevent ourselves from further insomnia and stressfull hollidays. We were not granted any refund of our paid fee for our 18 days stay. Also we had to recognise that all the additional services Guy did or tried to sell us were 3-4 times higher than any other offers we find for the exact same services (airport pick-up, scooter rent etc.) So this all left an additional questionable impression on us. Also it took much longer than 15 minutes to the beach, we had about 30 minutes, at any time during the day. So after an initial good feeling when Since this place was not really a quiet Idyll outside of Seminyak we simply felt cheated by all this and many other things. Eventually we found a much more quiet place in the midst of Seminyak and really liked it.
