Summary: The owners were very welcoming. The chalet was very well equipped with everything you could need and with shared use of the lovely garden with pool. There is lots to do in the area including the local lake for swimming, walking, visits to lake do bourget, Annecy all easily reachable from the chalet. Our family had a great week and would definitely return if visiting the area again.

Summary: We had an absolutely fantastic week at "Au cret du bois" with our two children aged 8 and 11. The property is beautiful and rightly the pride and joy of Alain and Christelle. It is very comfortable, clean and well appointed. The particular highlight for us was the garden; the children in particular who spent any time not asleep on the trampoline, in the pool or on the zip wire. The views are stunning during the day and sound of owls at night a real treat. The area is so beautiful, quiet and there is so much to do that we are threatening to come back. Particular highlights are Annecy, Le Semnoz, Le Revard, Le Gorge du Fier and the Jardins Secrets. We can't recommend this wonderful place to stay enough!

Summary: The property and location was fantastic (both inside and out in the garden). Our Son's spent hours playing in the garden, swimming in the pool, the zip wire and the trampoline. The property was lovely inside and finished to a high standard. Christelle & Allan could not be more helpful throughout our 2 week stay. We found ourselves having lazy days enjoying the sun and the pool, and then days travelling around enjoying the lakes and the mountains. We would definitely recommend this property for amazing family holidays.

Summary: We had a brilliant holiday staying in this property. The location is amazing. Views down the valley and the sound of cow bells and bird song! The gite is beautifully constructed, spotlessly clean and very comfortable to live in. All you would need is available. Kitchen is well equipped, good BBQ in the massive garden and lovely bathroom with great walk in shower. The owners, Christelle and Alain are very welcoming and helpful, even lending my husband a USB cable for his cycling computer! Our son loved the swimming pool (as did we) and there is plenty in the garden to keep children entertained if you want a lazy day at home. We would definitely recommend this property and would love to return one day.

Summary: A great find. A quiet gite, beautifully renovated and equipped with everything imaginable for a perfect stay. The owners are very friendly and helpful with plenty of local area knowledge and great ideas of where to visit. The gite has stunning views and is so homely and warm with toys for the children as well as the garden. The kitchen is well equipped and all furniture throughout is modern and tasteful. The children loved the mezzanine beds. The wash room was a huge bonus with massive washing machine, tumble dryer and extra toilet. The gite is immaculate.

Summary: This is the best equipped gite we have stayed in, and beautifully designed and built by the owners Christelle and Alain. Our children loved the garden and the mezzanine beds. There are plenty of activities and interesting sites nearby. All in all, a great place for our summer holiday.

Summary: The Gite is beautiful, fully equipped and in immaculate condition. We were a family of 4 and my children were 1 and 3. This Gite is over many levels with steps, ladders and concrete steps to the garden, we knew this before we arrived and it was worth the extra precaution we took with our little ones to enjoy this wonderful place. The views were beautiful and you could hear the cow bells jingling in the distance. The pool and garden were lovely and our little ones were in the pool every day. It's a short drive into Lescheraine where you will find all the required amenities and a lovely lake that you can swim in that has a cafe, restaurant and life guards during the summer. We had a wonderful holiday and Chrsitelle and Alain were helpful and super friendly. We would go back tomorrow!

Summary: A fantastic holiday in a beautiful and well-equipped Gite. The owners, Christelle and Alain, were extremely welcoming and accommodating. The modern and well maintained Gite was perfect for our family of four offering stunning views of the mountains. The substantial garden was a great space for our two girls to enjoy the trampoline, swing and zip wire. The pool was larger than expected and a great opportunity to cool down. The local village was only a 5min drive away, offering a local bakery and shop for your general amenities. There was an amazing lake offering swimming, tennis courts, and slide during the peak seasons and a local horse riding school. There was very little need to go far. We had a fantastic stay and one that we will always remember. We would definitely recommend this property and really hope to revisit it soon. We couldn't have asked for a better break. Thank you.

Summary: A truly beautiful and well-equipped gite. Owners Christelle and Alain were so lovely and welcoming. The accommodation offered magnificent views complimented by a large and wonderful garden where our two children played happily on the trampoline and swing. The pool was amazingly refreshing and larger than we had imagined. We cooked some amazing local sausages on the sheltered BBQ. The location was extremely peaceful with the local village, Lescheraines, only a short 5min drive away, where you can buy freshly baked bread, and general supplies from the mini-market. Plenty of activities for kids, including a local horse-riding centre and an amazing lake where in the summer months you can swim. A perfect relaxing break for a family of four. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone. Thank you for a super holiday full of amazing memories at Le Cret de Bois.

Summary: A group of six of us had a fantastic week based at this gite. We went at half term for the skiing at Les Aillons Margeriaz. The snow was great. The weather was glorious sunshine all week. You do need a car, as the ski resort is about a 20-25 minute drive away but it is a perfect family ski destination. We've stayed at roomier ski chalets but at twice the price, so this represents excellent value for money. And it is still far better than the tiny apartments you tend to get with tour operators. It's a quiet village but has a very nice Restaurant. There are adequate shops about 15 minutes drive away. We enjoyed our week very much and Christelle was lovely. It won't be for you if need to be near the slopes and lots of facilities. But for the price it's worth the five stars.
