Positive: Clean and tidy property. Good location for local walks and visiting the local area. Whitby, Scarborough, Pickering etc
Negative: Needs a dishwasher in the kitchen. WiFi /TV connection not great. Often unable to watch things as TV wouldn’t connect to internet. Thornton le dale is a lovely place in a great location, but listing should make it clearer that cottage is right on the high street between a shop and a cafe. Items for sale in the shop are hung on the walls of the outside of the property. Access to the back of the property is through the cafe outdoor eating space.
Summary: Good cottage in lovely village.

Positive: Loved the character with mod cons and that we could easily walk to the pub for dinner, to Matthewsons and the local shop. Bakery downstairs was a bonus. Huge, well equipped kitchen. Claires staff in the cafe were absolutely lovely when we phoned re being late and when we arrived.
Negative: Limited info available re picking up keys from owner. Suspect it's for privacy reasons... Gained info from past reviews which helped working out the set up. Would have liked more info on how to lock back door but appreciated whatsapp msg from Claire re front door when we got stuck in traffic and arrived later than expected.
