Positive: Beera Farmhouse is one if the few B&Bs that we like to revisit. Hilary looks after us so well. Our cooked breakfast is superb, and the option of a fabulous evening meal is great. The room is spacious and has gorgeous views across the fields and into a valley that is mist-filled in the morning. It's a very quiet spot with good access to Dartmoor (you need a car). We'll be visiting again I'm sure!

Positive: We liked everything, can't fault anything. We were welcomed by Hillary, she was very nice, very helpful and kind. We were shown everything and were offered a complimentary home made cream tea, which was excellent. The room was large, the bed huge and a really comfortable mattress. A range of furniture was also provided in the room. Bathroom was fantastic. Kettle with provisions was present and well stocked. There are little sensor lights by the stairs and bathroom, really helpful at night! Other little details were thought of, nothing was missed. Carpeted throughout with great quality carpets, nothing cheap! The farmhouse is lovely, it was warm, friendly family atmosphere and if needed we would have had a woodfire lit but it was really warm indoors so not needed. In case anyone thinks a farmhouse can be cold, true, but not in this case. The views are simply stunning!! Grounds are well maintained, there is no clutter, no mess and generally very very tidy. It is also very quiet, which is great!! It was also nice and dark and really, we had the 2 of the best night's sleep there. And because the mattress was of great quality it meant we never got up all crippled in the morning. Breakfast is simply amazing. Not only do you get plenty of options, you get quantity as well. Freshly cooked food and nothing is cheap, it really is of excellent quality. Food is freshly prepared and it is piping hot, tasty and if you'd like a bit more, that would not have been a problem. (no need for more as you get plenty of choice) The area's of the house that we had seen during our stay were absolutely spotless. I did not see a speck of dust anywhere, no dirt, no hair, no limescale, NOTHING! the bathroom was sparkling, sometimes you see limescale on the shower head.. NOTHING! Carpets are all clean, wooden flooring was clean... Just WOW. This is by far the best place we've stayed in over the 30 years we've been travelling in the UK.

Negative: I didn't like the fact that we had to leave....

Positive: Firstly on arrival we were welcomed by Hillary who served us a cream tea which was a lovely start to our break, the bedroom we had was very bright and spacious with a garden view, really comfortable bed, we both had 3 wonderful nights sleep. That first evening we had a 2 course evening meal which was superb, also had the chance then to meet Robert who served our delightful meal while Hillary his wife was busy in the kitchen, what a great team they made, all their hard work was much appreciated, the breakfasts were amazing with so much choice. The view from the garden area over the countryside was breathtaking, it gave me the thought of how could it be possible for there to be so much conflict in the world when you can simply take so much comfort in soaking up the beauty in such a creation, thank you team Hillary and Robert

Positive: The breakfast was freshly cooked and excellent .Home made bread and preserves. My husband especially enjoyed the full English. With the full English you are given a choice so there is no waste. He also had kippers which were very good too. The accommodation was clean and airy with a very good shower. Lovely fluffy towels and beautiful toiletries. We had homemade cream tea on arrival , lovely choice of teas and coffees along with other beverages. Hilary and Robert are amazing hosts who welcome you into their home and working farm. If you have the chance to have an evening meal with them jump at it , Hilary's culinary art is second to none and Robert is a brilliant courteous host . The views are stunning and it is very secluded and quiet setting.

Negative: Nothing we didn't like , just be aware you are in the middle of the country side with the occasional single track round so your reversing skills will be tested at times, but the locals are so friendly there are never cross words.

Summary: Excellent food and accommodation in a quiet relaxing lacation.
