Summary: Stunning grounds and setting, excellent food and presentation, simply the best service from staff who went above and beyond. Only downside was I couldn't pay by Amex, the first hotel I've stayed in that doesn't accept it.

Summary: An absolutely perfect hotel. Beautiful surroundings, amazing service. A total treat. The most comfortable bed, delicious breakfast and afternoon tea. We will definitely be back.

Summary: The location, grounds and building are lovely. Ambiance is unpretentious and professional, the food delicious. The rooms are lovely but our bathroom was a let down. Very deep old and somewhat dangerous bathtub, with mixer shower taps. No way to shower without flooding. Very limited shelving/storage - nowhere to put washbags etc.

Summary: The location and the staff made this a very pleasant and relaxing stay. The front-of-house and restaurant staff were polite, helpful and responded positively to virtually any request. This Hotel is extremely good, but not quite perfect!

Summary: Beautiful historic hotel sensibly and chicly updated. Staff very attentive. Our suite was quite comfortable..terrific bed and lovely bath including charming decor and sitting area. The gardens are amazing and you can walk down to the river Tamar from the hotel. Breakfasts amazing, dinner good. Small niggle; pillows are all the same. I like a softer version fwiw. Hope to come back again; really a stunning spot.
