Positive: I found the location excellent: right at the beginning of the trail that leads along the coast downtown. I expensive with all the amenities I was looking for, responsive and kind host. Great place!

Positive: Comfy bed and plenty of room in the apartment. Small kitchen available. Good bathroom. Is located a bit out of town but moto taxis are pretty easy to flag down.

Positive: Upon arrival of the property, I was greeted by Madame Jolie (not exactly her name but she is such a beautiful person inside and out), the mother of the host. She walked me through the spotlessly clean apartment and showed me all that was available for me. I was only expecting a room but it's an entire apartment! There's a well equipped kitchen, a living room with comfy sofas, a cute balcony, and even a guest bathroom! For all the space and amenities, this is possibly the best value for money in Benin. The bedroom, which had a beautiful shower and large, comfy bed, came equipped with air conditioning that was so quick at cooling the room. I slept so well here. And Madame Jolie was so wonderful to me. There was a power outage one night, which is very normal based on my experience in Benin, and she stopped by to make sure that i had everything I needed and that I was okay. And when I departed, she walked with me to pick up a zem to make sure that I wouldn't be overcharged and made sure i stayed safe by wearing a helmet and being cautious with my bag while on the zem. She really went above and beyond.

Positive: The owner and his family member are so kind and helpful! I kept coming back to this place again and again just because I feel like this is my private space and feel comfortable. Very tidy and well kept. Especially for those who do self catering, it is good place to stay. I stayed in several hotels and apartments in Porto Novo for work and try to find a nice place. This is the best buy for the value and comfort! Just for your reminder. Since the cost of electricity is so high in Benin and many local people use the fan instead. Someone like me, who really wants to have AC even though the cost is high, I am willing to pay extra as I spent. I stayed in the apartment in Proto Novo where the owner offered only fan due to the cost cut. I couldn't sleep at all at night because of the heat! Of course it depends on what you want. I just chose the place to make myself comfortable, so that I can work more efficiently. This place meets my need.

Positive: A lot of effort was put into making this place feel nice, cosy and comfortable (which it definitely is) and the owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. There was also a fully-equipped kitchen with fresh water and coffee included in the price. And having AC in all the rooms definitely was a nice treat.
Negative: The place was further southeast compared to the map on booking, but because the owner sent us the right coordinates we were able to find it nontheless. Because it is a brand new place that might change and get more accurate.
