Positive: Lovely ambience, welcome platter was unexpected and great hosts. Forget the tourist information and just rely on Liz's great suggestions. BTW room 2 is bathed in sunshine in the morning.

Positive: I loved the brekkie and staff. The room view was great, can see the lake and mountains. The staff turned on heater before we arrive, so the room was nice and warm. There were also savoury snacks provided in the fridge alongside with purchasable drinks.

Positive: Exceptional place and host. Everything is available, from a good coffee machine to beverages, wine, welcome cheese platter, cookies... and a terrace with a fantastic view across the lake! Great breakfast! Super info about the area available. Wifi, usb charging stations.... everything is there. We highly recommend this place.

Positive: The Bellevue Boutique Lodge is a gem. The hosts went above and beyond providing us with different amenities and information about the area. Room 4 and its en-suite bathroom are lovely. And what could be better than sitting on a porch right outside your room facing the lake? The breakfast was generous and tasty.

Positive: Beautiful, retro decor (I believe 19th Century) yet modern, comfortable room and bed, great view of the lake. Quiet location, a few minutes drive from the centre. Besides the room, a sitting room is available (I used it for a zoom session without having to disturb my partner). Well equipped bathroom, excellent shower. Kindest hosts!
Negative: Continental breakfast. I prefer with eggs, cheese, etc. nevertheless good quality.
Summary: Beautiful, retro decor yet modern, great view of the lake, kindest hosts. Highly recommended when visiting the Taupō reg
