3 Bedroom Apartment in Troon

This charming house was built in 1904 by a wealthy local family in the Arts & Crafts style (after Victorian but before Art Deco). I have kept the original features and updated the apartment to modern standards. There are beautiful stained glass windows, wood panelling and other original features.
There is a large hallway on entering the property, with plenty of room for golfing equipment. Heading upstairs, you will come to three stained glass windows overlooking the gardens and leading the main hall. Here you'll find the entrances to the living and dining rooms, master and second bedroom, family bathroom and kitchen.
The living/dining room is very large and has windows overlooking the meadow. There is comfortable seating for 7 around the fireplace and 8 at the dining room table.
The master bedroom has a four poster king size bed and a double sofa bed. There's a comfortable seating area and original Arts & Crafts fireplace. This is a light room with 3 windows overlooking the garden, trees and mansion houses. This room has a large modern ensuite shower room with the original sink from 1904 still in place.
The second bedroom has a superking bed which converts to 2 single beds and also a single four poster bed with curtains and canopy.
There is a family bathroom with full bath and wonderful original stained glass sunset window.
The well equipped kitchen has everything needed for your stay including fridge, freezer, microwave, gas hob, electric oven, toaster and kettle.
The house is child friendly and has a crib, travel cot, high chair, selection of games and children's books. Other equipment is available on request.
The house is also pet friendly and you are welcome to bring your pets. There are water and food bowls, dog towels and a dog bed provided. We may charge a small extra cleaning fee for pets.
Lastly, there is a wonderful large garden with the property. There are 3 seating areas with benches and a table and chairs for 8 people to eat outside. There is a barbecue area too.

Summary: We stayed for 8 nights over Christmas with my wife and two children. The appartment is excellently placed in troon. The inside is spacious and light with more than enough room for everyone. Hopefully we will be back.

Summary: We enjoyed our home away from home. Our host Lisa was so pleasant and helpful. Close to the beach and walkable to 2 very good restaurants. A quick drive to Troon for groceries. A few areas in the house (example freezer area, needs some work), the bath tub faucets did not work properly, but all in all it was very neat and clean just needed a few upgrades. We would rent Royal Troon again

Summary: My group of four golfers drove down from the Edinburgh Airport to Troon, to stay in this very nice apartment. The two bedrooms and two baths suited us very well, and the location directly across from the Royal Troon Golf Club was ideal. Lisa, our Host, had given us good restaurant recommendations, and we went to Scott's (at the Troon waterfront marina) - a drive of about 5 minutes - and enjoyed an outstanding late lunch. There was a small glitch in accessing the apartment keys, but that was cleared up quickly, and Lisa processed a credit to my VRBO account for the inconvenience. Very nice thing to do, and responsive. Make sure you take a walk on the beach, which can be accessed right next to the Troon Clubhouse; lots of people there and beautiful views.

Summary: Great location with short walk to the beach, main downtown, and Royal Troon in a nice quiet residential neighborhood. Has large bedrooms, bathrooms and living room with many windows you can open for fresh Scottish air.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay for 3 days to attend a family wedding. The location was great and the house was super cosy and Lisa the contact was very attentive. We definitely will stay there again.

Summary: We had a lovely stay here. The apartment is beautiful, the decor is totally in keeping with the period of the property and we felt it was home from home, with everything we needed provided. Everything is just a short walk away, the beach, the town, a beer garden.... it was so relaxing and just what we needed. We would certainly recommend staying here.
