Positive: The apartment was clean and even better than it looked in the photos. It was much bigger than anticipated. It was well furnished and had a great variety of equipment and utensils. We were pleasantly surprised. It was great to have the small balcony, to hear the birds and look out over the trees. Checking in was easy and comprehensive instructions were given to locate the key.
Negative: The thermostat was set at 21 and the underfloor heating was so effective, it really warmed up which wasnt bad in the day but it was too hot at night. Instructions on how to remedy this would have been welcome as we were unable to adjust it during our stay. The walls to the adjoining apartment were pretty thin so you could hear the people in the next apartment, especially when they were using the bathroom, which seemed to be situated directly behind our bedroom. Thankfully we had ear plugs which helped!
Summary: Overall, we were very happy with the accommodation

Positive: Location is great. Very spacious rooms. Nicely decorated too. Beds are comfortable. Easy check in procedure.
Negative: Only one towel per person for 6 nights was not enough and the kitchen was not the best equipped for cooking your own meals. But these are just minor things really.

Positive: One of the best Booking.com experiences thanks to BESOTEL Erkrath- Ferienwohnungen und Apartments. They know what they are doing, so I ask other hotels/places/etc. to look at their website or Booking.com page and see how they serve their customers or people who are traveling a lot. I use Booking.com very often, and this place entered my top 5 - well done! Specifically, beds are great. Cleanliness is great. The location is great, a very quiet area. Close to supermarket Lidl. Close to Total gas station (if I remember the name correctly). You can find whatever you need in the kitchen. I liked the balcony as well.
Negative: One thing - when we were leaving, there was one lady who asked us to give the keys to her directly instead of putting them into the lockbox. This was not a good feeling, because, until the last second, I was not sure if she was the right person or not, because it was the key to the whole building and one apartment, I did not want to take this responsibility. Then my wife told me that she was able to open all lockboxes so I trusted her and handed over the keys. My only advice would be - please tell your staff not to ask for keys directly. Let guests leave these keys where they picked them up from, it's safer and less concerning.
