Summary: Staff was friendly, location is great at the waters edge with a nice park to walk around. The float planes come and go from there so the hotel has great views.

Summary: the stay was good the staff were very friendly and helpful the biggest problem was the fact that i booked on-line with what was supposed to be the hotel site only to be informed at check in that it was booked through Expedia which i didn`t i think Expedia hijacked my booking which should be illegal is there a way for the Hotel to block them from doing so ? we didn`t get the ocean view room that we wanted ,street side was a little noisy at times, the Hotel manager was very helpful in compensating us for this inconvenience, Thank you, John Leese

Summary: Hotel is old with alot of character however no hot water at all. When i mentioned it at checkout the only response was the breaker had beem off and was back on and water would be warm soon. That didn't help us as we had to check out to catch a ferry. No apology or compensation of any sort. This was not a cheap hotel and therefore will not stay again.

Summary: The hotel offers a seamless check-in process and boasts a fantastic location, along with being nicely updated. However, due to the building's age, there is a noticeable slant of a few inches in the family suite. This can impact the balance of elderly parents, which became a concern during our stay. Within just a few hours, we received a noise complaint because of their difficulty in moving about.

Summary: Hotel is a bit dated and could use a refresh. Hotel staff were excellent to the point of contacting us for an item we left at hotel and offering to ship to us. Staff would make us return to this location given the chance. Central location to Nanaimo.

Summary: Front desk didn’t offer the same compliments as the person in front of us. They were upgraded and offered bottle water and were super friendly. When they got to us they barely smoke a word. Very expensive hotel for what you get. Hall ways have no A/C with windows open at 30’C with a ton of flies. Had to be strategic to open your room door so no flies got in. A/C in room worked well and beds were comfy. Shortened ceilings and small room but that’s fine. No real ammenities at hotel, parking very hard to get a spot and very tight and we were there an hour after check in around 5pm. Location is the saving grace very close to lots of restaurants and coffee shops and views of the harbour. Seagulls are loud can hear them through the window as well as boats and float planes, but as to be expected. Would chose a different hotel next time.

Summary: The food from the restaurant downstairs was not very good at all. They didn’t give us any cutlery knowing that we were staying in the hotel. The best thing about the hotel was the bed and the staff. The bed was very comfortable, clean and had perfect pillows. The staff were sweet, helpful and gracious. The rooms really needs an up-date.
