Positive: Breakfast was great; more than simply pastries which we liked.
Negative: We had a few noisy neighbors, in an attached room, but that's not the hotel's fault, UNLESS there were other rooms that weren't so close. But we expect that when using a hotel. I just wish people were aware of how loudly they are talking after midnight.
Summary: Great location; everything was clean; loved all the wood. It looked like a cabin in the woods.

Positive: Plans changed, had to leave early. Absolutely did not like being charged for a night I was not there because the entire reservation was charged by booking.com. No where was I advised that early checkout would result in no refund. First time to use booking and BW, and it will be my last!

Positive: Location, nice cozy decor in common areas, very helpful and nice staff
Negative: Booking.com had a lot of "normal" in room anemities shaded as not included for the jacuzzi room and thats why I didn't get one. At check in was told it's wrong but no other rooms available but ours by that time. took 4 of us that included 2 staff to figure our TV out. They were very proactive to help, and the second staff got it.. and room was advertised as having private entrance. A room that has a door down the hall, down the steps to a side door is a private entrance? Also I was told no payment until checkin but my card was charged a pending amount for the total due, 3 days prior to arrival. Glad I had the funds!

Positive: Breakfast was fine and typical of chain hotels. Nothing special. Would love to see some healthier options.
Negative: Nothing. Northwoods decor was fine if outdated but reflected the area.

Positive: The hotel was quiet and beds were very comfortable. Parking was convenient. We enjoyed the breakfast very much and the staff were friendly and accommodating. An added perk was the 24 hour availability of hot water and complimentary tea and coffee. The pool and sauna were also very nice.
Negative: Since it was winter, it would have been nice to see the fireplace in the lobby/reception area being used. We also were disappointed with the minimal selection of TV channels available.
Summary: Great location if visiting the area as well as a base for skiing, hiking, antiquing etc.
