Positive: Smooth check-in. The rooms are big enough but tatty and in desperate need of decorating. Broken switches, broken door handles, broken shower , and scrapes, bumps and chips in the walls. The bathroom just felt unclean. Breakfast was ok, not plentiful and not topped up quick enough - review staffing levels as the poor girl working the tables really struggled to keep up.

Negative: Already mentioned in the previous text.

Summary: Most probably one to avoid unless on a really tight budget.

Positive: The location is great for activities at Elmia. There is good insulation from hallway noise in the room. The breakfast is very good and all staff I interacted with were friendly and professional.

Negative: When I arrived I was given a room that hadn’t been cleaned at all. I was upgraded to a larger room which was nice. However all the wall lamps had burned out lightbulbs. There was a fan for use but the cord was broken so we couldn’t use it. The shower had mold in one corner. The beds are very wiggly. The mattress pad slips all around, it’s very annoying. There is a dimmer switch for the bathroom light but it didn’t work. There wasn’t an outlet at each bedside table, only one on the farthest side. It was very impractical.

Summary: I appreciated the staff. The negatives we experienced had more to do with the owners lack of investment in the upkeep of
