Positive: Large spacious apartment located close to Foz da Douro. Great bakery downstairs. Supermarket and bars around the corner. Host is very responsive. Great to deal with. If stay again
Negative: The apartment is a bit worn. Holes in the couches. Some peeling of paint on the walls and ceiling.

Positive: The location is wonderful, literally 3 blocks from the river, 4 to the beach. We walked to the beach every dusk, it’s beautiful. A short walk down to the river park allows you to catch a bus or cable car into the crowded old town area — I don’t suggest driving! The main room has huge windows brightening the spacious apartment. It has everything you need, including a large well-equipped kitchen. Small grocery stores, restaurants, coffee cafes are within walking distance. A very good bakery is just down stairs. Ines is a fantastic host, responding quickly with professionalism and grace — even with tired, grumpy travelers!
Negative: The gate entrance to park your car is narrow. It’s not that difficult, simply take your time. All residents make a few adjustments entering and exiting, not only you! Avis sometimes upgrades my rentals to larger cars which I don’t like, but I couldn’t change as they were out of cars. So my experience was tighter than most, but we did it a dozen times without problems.
Summary: A wonderful rental to enjoy Porto and the surrounding area!

Positive: Porto was full of construction sites and very busy with tourists so it was lovely to stay just a little out of the main areas where it was very peaceful and surrounded by charming narrow streets. It was very easy and cheap to get back into the main areas by bus. The apartment is very spacious with large windows and balcony and had every kitchen / laundry equipment that we needed. Beds were really comfortable.
