Positive: Located across from Basilica di San Domenico and near the town wall, a 5 minute walk from free public parking with path from it running directly in front of the apartment, the apartment was a perfect size for a couple. Easy, efficient communication from host at all times made the visit welcoming. The apartment is on top floor (second floor) with no lift, but we had no problem navigating to the top. Separate bedroom from the living space worked well for us. Although it is an old apartment in an old building, the bathroom has been modernized with great lighting and big shower (although if you are not an average size person it might be hard move around because the bathroom itself is small). Large shower. Great Wifi; large, new wall-mounted TV; well-equipped kitchen (although we did not cook). Although the wet weather forced us indoors for a few hours, we were able to explore Arezzo even more on our second visit to this historic town. We probably could have rented a third night and would have enjoyed staying at this apartment.
Negative: (1) Bedsheets need replacing it seems, but were clean. (2) Also, just a note to host or next renter: the refrigerator, microwave and DeLonghi/Nespresso machine are on a separate electrical circuit controlled by a switch on the wall on the opposite side of the kitchen. The switch above the dish washer has an "arrow" pointing to it. It took a little time to figure out that the switch needs to be in the "on" position for those appliances to work, and then everything worked beautifully. Not a criticism, I just didn't know about it until I figured it out. (Upon arrival, I might have accidently turned that switch off thinking it was a switch for something else. Anyway, it all worked out.)
Summary: Perfect location in walking distance to free public parking and all important sites.

Positive: The location was great for sightseeing, but not as great for restaurants. The apartment was very quiet and comfortable, although the bed was quite firm.
Negative: The bed could have been better. Water temperature fluctuated in the shower, creating some uncomfortable moments.
