Summary: We were lucky to find Big Timbers for our Itasca State Park weekend. The location is ideal being right across the street from the North entrance. The rooms perfect size for a small family or couple. Everything was new and clean and we had everything we needed for a great stay. We loved the ice cream and pizza from the store on site.

Summary: Lovely room in a set of 4 maybe more like a motel large parking lot no landscaping out front. That being said, the room itself was great. The location near the north entrance was super convenient. I just because of it's name expected something else so was a bit disappointed to start.

Summary: Clean, close, convenient to the park. The back window looks out at a forest of pine, where we saw a large flock of wild turkeys one morning. If your plan is to visit the place where the Mississippi River begins, this is the place to stay.

Summary: We loved the proximity to the park and had a really great stay. The host was friendly and helpful. My kids loved the ice cream shop next door. The room was clean and comfortable. I'd highly recommend it!

Summary: Property was very well kept and in great shape. Really enjoyed our time at Big Timber’s. Christine was very helpful and accommodating really enjoyed her gift shop and ice cream. What are the big benefits of staying? There is one of the few places in that area where you can actually stay less than one week …most of the resorts in that area.. it’s one week or more.
