Summary: This was just a stop to break up a long journey and take the opportunity to visit the Kielder Observatory. The property is modern, clean and comfortable with a warm welcome and super helpful host. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Summary: We found our hosts very friendly and welcoming. The property was very attractive and well maintained. The village is lovely and surrounding area is beautiful. Nice places to eat in the village.

Summary: Just returned from wonderful two night stay at Black burn Lodge and it lives up to the rave reviews. Stunning location by the river, where we spent the evenings in the gazebo enjoying the views and a glass of Baileys . The room was spotlessly clean with high quality bedlinen and furnishings. Also separate lounge if weather not great. The hosts make you feel so welcome and provide a lot of formation about where to eat and visit in the area. Would highly recommend and hope to visit again.

Summary: Bed and rooms are absolutely gorgeous, comfy. Lovely lounge for rainy days. Lovely hosts. The ONLY negative thing is there is no breakfast! This is a big thing for me, they give you a voucher to redeem at their friends café tho

Summary: This is a fabulous property if you want to be completely off the beaten track. There is no dining available and breakfast is offered in a different location. The town has only 2 places to eat which get booked quickly. Overall it was a good place to stop on our way home but personally I would only stay for 1 night maximum.
