Summary: Annual guys trip for myself and a buddy. Terrific chance to relax and be away from work and kids and catch up with each other. Close to Valparaiso for shopping and food but still feels secluded. Highly recommended!

Summary: We stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights over the weekend. The location was what we were looking for - in the woods. It was perfect for bonfires and the fall festivities in the area. That being said, we knew we were going into the woods so we figured there would be bugs, spiders, some general uncleanliness of being in a wooded area. But, the lack of cleanliness in the house made us leave almost immediately the last day. I have a three year old nephew who walked barefoot in the house and his feet were black from the first day. The floors were filthy and the bathroom was atrocious. Again e knew we were staying in the woods, but there was nothing even wiped down or dusted. We couldn’t open the windows because of the filth and we had to have the AC on during chilly nights in October because of that. We wouldn’t stay here again.

Summary: I stayed two nights with my 10-year-old daughter. The wooded setting near the lake is nice (though there's no access to the lake); the fire pit in the yard is great; the beds were comfortable (though you might want to bring your own pillow if you like firm); the amenities were just right; and the location between Valparaiso and Indiana Dunes National Park is perfect.
