Summary: The beautiful Irish countryside has so much to offer. When this is combined with the love for nature that the host Mary shares with you and staying in one of the shepherds huts all conditions for a perfect stay are there. Guidance to nice walks and places to see are part of the warm welcoming to Blackstairs Shepherds Hut. We enjoyed the quietness, a walk along the river Barrow and having dinner in the nearby town Borris.

Summary: We went here part way through our trip in Ireland and it was the perfect place for an authentic experience off the tourist track. Highly recommended for those interested in eco tourism, hospitality and a unique experience. Truly amazing!!!

Summary: It is a stunning property cared for by a kind and welcoming eco-conscious couple. It is peaceful and a balm to the soul. The continental breakfast included homemade bread and jam. Just delightful! It was a great first stop in Ireland.

Summary: A lovely place to stay. The grounds are beautiful and wonderful to wander. Breakfast was amazing and hosts were great. Loved sleeping on our shepherd's hut. Shared spaces were perfect for relaxing. Would definitely return.
