Newly remodeled 1 bedroom, 1 bath cottage located steps away from the Homosassa River and Palo Verde dead ends into Yulee Preserve. The 1 acre property has new sidewalks down W Yulee. Ride your bike or walk to restaurants, shopping or the river from your own backyard. This cottage is located near all the activities provided by the Homosassa river including local hunting and fishing, water sports, etc with local dining, shopping and breweries only a short drive away. Tampa is approx a 1 hour drive with Tampa International Airport.
The cottage includes electric, sewer, trash and Wi-Fi. The cottage has a screened in porch to enjoy the cool breezes.
The cottage includes :
Queen size bed
Sofa/futon in the living room
Stove, refrigerator, microwave, flat screen smart tv, cookware and all linens. Just bring your clothes and you are ready to enjoy old Homosassa. Bed linens and towels provided. I do not provide linens for an extended stay, but there is a laundromat 1 mile down the road.
Pets welcome - only sm/med dogs (no cats) with $50 nonrefundable per pet, per stay.

Summary: Great location for food and river activities. Quiet and very pet friendly. Screened in porch was a hit. Nothing fancy, cozy, and perfect for our needs , our pet loved it there. We cooked our meals in , except for fresh shrimp from the "Freezer" and NY style pizza from Marchello's. The AC worked great and beds were comfortable. Lovely host. Nana shared her specialty dessert with us. It was delicious!!

Summary: We just showered and slept there but it was a nice little cottage. Very quaint for the 2 of us and was nice and clean. I would recommend it.

Summary: We randomly chose Homosassa to stay at when I looked for pet friendly within driving distance. This cottage was perfect for us and our doggo. It was in the shade, had a screened in porch, full kitchen amenities, ample room and closet space and central air. It was close to the river, shopping, and restaurants also. The main road has sidewalks so I was able to walk my dog to the dog park about a mile up the road. Our only complaint was the couch/futon was extremely uncomfortable. But I would still recommend this for anyone visiting the area.

Summary: none of our phones could hook to internet. front porch light didnt work . pool was green with algae on bottom . the pull out couch that should sleep 2 is a cheap very uncomfortable futon that sleeps 1 uncomfortably. my girlfriends hip is still bruised from the futon 2 days later oh and the 4 cup filters for a 12 cup pot of coffee
