Summary: The property is lovely--we had everything we needed. The pool is beautiful as well. The owner allowed us to have extended family over for dinner which was much appreciated. Unfortunately, the Hurricane knocked out power and phones were not working so hard to communicate. But we were safe at the house. I would stay again as the space is lovely.

Summary: This basement apartment was abolutely perfect for our small group for a four day trip to Hickory while our granddaughters sweated it out at Lenoir-Rhyne University's soccer camp. From being able to feed them breakfast at the kitchen bar to having the ability to pack lunches for them in the kitchen, we made use of all the offerings we couldn't have gotten in a hotel. The girls made it through soccer camp each day to enjoy a cool-off in the beautiful pool and then showered in the deluxe shower here. The two girls especially liked the toiletries provided in the bathroom. Check in was so easy, and except for the weirdly confusing street numbering throughout Hickory, the country setting was peaceful and relaxing. We are thoroughly sold on this location for a return visit.

Summary: This beautiful property was perfect for what we needed. Our son had a soccer tournament in Hickory with spaced out game times, rescheduled games due to weather, etc. The Blue Door Guesthouse was our comfortable oasis to relax and enjoy family time. The pool was great, even in May! The hosts are top knotch. Highly recommend!

Summary: My sisters and I attended a wedding in the area and pick this place to stay. Looked great in the listings and surpassed our expectations. House was totally equipped with everything you could imagine. Beds were marvelous. Kitchen was super- we did prepare breakfast every morning, sometimes other meals as well. Location was wonderful. Wish we would have been there during summer as the outdoor pool looks extremely inviting for summer temperatures. Beautiful Cardinals ate at the birdfeeder every morning! Such fun. Big thanks to our wonderful hosts. Would definitely reccomend this property.
