2 Bedroom Cabin in Rising Fawn

Wonderful cozy wood cabin, we call Blue Lake Cabin on over a 3 acre wooded lot at the Preserve in Johnson's Creek on the southwest side of Lookout Mountain in Rising Fawn, GA. We are just 35 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, but located in the mountains in a quiet retreat!
This wonderful cabin is at Lookout Mountain in a 2800 acres Preserve! Renting the cabin gives you access to multiple fishing lakes that back up to Johnson Lake. There are miles of hiking possibilities and creeks to explore. We are 35 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, the Tennessee Aquarium, Rock City and Ruby Falls. We are 15 minutes from the famous Canyon Grill restaurant and Cloud land Canyon State Park and many more outdoor activities! We are 20 minutes from Mentone. We are a hour away from the Sequatchie River in Dunlap, GA where you can canoe in the river. There is also a fun drive-in theatre in Trenton, GA just 15 minutes away!
The cabin has beautiful mountain and lake views at the Preserve. This1200 sq ft, one level cabin on over 3 acres has full length front and back covered porches. The porches are a prefect place for relaxing in cedar chairs and love seat! This cabin sleeps up to 6 people, with 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths and a queen pull out sofa in the living room.
There front bedroom has a full size bed and is located just off the living room. The Master bedroom has a king size bed and half bathroom. The full bathroom is in the hall from the living room to master bathroom. The dining table is just off the living room and the full kitchen is well stocked and looks out into the beautiful back yard with the Blue Lake and mountains in view! There is a full washer and dryer as well! There is also a flat screen TV (40") with fiber optic cable and Blue Ray player in the living room. There is a TV in the master bedroom as well. A gas Weber grill is also provided for your use. Fiber optic internet is available.
Fishing is allowed on any of the 4 lakes within the Preserve. Just bring your own fishing supplies. Horseback riding is available from a nearby equestrian center. We
will be happy to provide further information if you are interested.
A full price cleaning fee ($60) is charged for less than 3 nights.

Summary: Great place to stay! Reason why I gave a 4 star review is because of the carpenter bees outside. We love being outside and there were so many bees and holes in the siding that we could not enjoy it. The holes caused by the bees needs to be addressed or they will soon have bees inside of the walls. Other than that it was great! We loved it!

Summary: Overall we loved the place and location. This was our second time being there. Only thing that bothered me was I had mentioned we wanted to use fire pit. I wish the caretaker had removed the large ant bed that cover one side and all under neath. We cleaned and several bites later got a fire started and got to enjoy it

Summary: If you like seclusion this is the property. If you want a large town a few miles away with a lot of activities this is not the place. But if you don't mind driving 35 minutes to Chattanooga for some larger town experience this is the place. We like the outdoors and away from people. It fit us perfectly.

Summary: Enjoyed the stay in this cute, clean cabin. The only complaint is the directions to the cabin for those who are checking in late (after dark) were hard to follow. Otherwise, great place to stay. Highly recommend!

Summary: Wow! A little off the beaten path, this was a gem in the Georgia wilderness! House was immaculate, had everything you could need and the location couldn’t be beat! Beautiful views, several pond/ lakes filled with fish, gorgeous scenery, Sophia was communicative and made the entire process easy. Offered some suggestions for activities( we opted for the drive in theater, eat before you go) and provided everything we could have thought to ask for. The whole preserve is rustic wilderness, complete with some gravel country roads and the charming cabin with beautiful details fit right in. We will definitely be back. Can’t recommend this enough!
