Positive: We loved the beautiful gardens, butterflies, hummingbirds, volcanic pools, mud bath, and excursion to Cathedral falls with great guide. Accommodations were spacious and comfortable and food was good.

Negative: Only complaint was that we couldn’t stay longer.

Positive: The grounds were beautiful and the hot springs were amazing. We decided to go on the waterfall tour and it was really beautiful. It was a very challenging hike due to the rain. The mud with the hills made it a challenge. The staff were wonderful.

Negative: The food wasnt very good. Also, you really vant bring outside food into the rooms because of the ants and insects. It is very remote and the roads are really bad.

Positive: Authentic rural costa rican community surrounds the resort. It’s pretty remote feeling but only 1.2 hours from the city. Beautiful grounds and location. Neat stuff to do on site like mud bath, hot springs, mini donkey, birds, orchid garden, butterfly pen

Negative: There wasn’t a good central “hang out spot” for our rooms to gather to play a game or visit. Food was pricey and only a few options off site. While clean some might describe it as more rustic than high end.

Positive: The hot springs and natural sauna were great, and general grounds were amazing for bird spotting. The room was spacious with a very big bed. Parking right next to the room.

Negative: The included breakfast was very basic (fruit and toast/cake), a proper breakfast was additional charge. The roads to access the hotel are not good, you need a SUV/4x4 and I don't recommend it at night.
