Positive: Very friendly, very cool location on the edge of town out in the jungle (and a bit quieter at night, except for the roosters). The family welcomed us and helped us during our stay, organising breakfasts and laundry. They even called us over to spot monkeys moving through the trees nearby. The mosquito nets are a great added touch and necessary in the jungle!

Negative: Nothing that is the host's fault but that people should know: The power goes out at night in Capurgana and doesn't come on until late morning, making charging devices difficult. The property is on the edge of the jungle, and there are barking dogs and roosters which make noise in the night. It's also a short walk from town (15 minutes) which includes a small river crossing. All of this can add to the experience if you consider it a part of visiting Capurgana!

Positive: Super friendly family. They will help you with anything you need. The town was experiencing power outages and they even turned on the generator so that I could work remotely. So much quieter here than in the town. They have tons of cats and dogs all over the property which I loved

Negative: It is a good 20-25 minute walk from Capurgana with sections where you have to cross a river (in the river). However this is not their fault and it’s very easy to get a moto taxi back and forth for a dollar or two

Positive: BlueBayou is more or less 25 minutes walk from Capurgana center, making it a great location to sleep and avoid any night noice 😉 Everything around the place was great, you can easily walk to Playa Aguacate, downtown, a close beach and any place around Super natural, Capurgana power is rationed during the day, I loved it when the light was out completely, because you're immersed in the nature Last but not least the staff, Stephanie is great, super attentive, informative and ready to help you. All the doggies and kitties stole my hear 😭 💜 A place to stay if you like nature, full disconnection and the good vibes 🌊

Positive: Stephany and Marta were so amazing and helpful. They were on top of everything, making sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Amazing stay at an amazing place.

Negative: It rained considerably, which made the journey from the hotel to the town centre a tad hectic, but nothing unmanageable for sure. It is no one's fault, but something to be aware of during the December season
