Enjoy a peaceful getaway at a two-house rental on a large (1.3 acre) wooded sandy lot along North Lake.
​​​​​​​ It is the perfect multi-generational rental with a spacious two-bedroom main house and a secluded one-bed/one-bath cottage. Ideal for the traditional Michigan inland lake vacation, relax in the sandy shallows of North Lake (120' of private frontage). Go fishing or enjoy an evening cocktail and watch the sunset from the end of the private dock. There are two kayaks for exploring the lake, a paddleboard, and a lily pad for swimming. Gather the family for smores at the fire pit and soak away worries in the hot tub. The great room offers panoramic views of the lake and a large gathering spot. Older kids will enjoy the bunk room air hockey, NBA Jam video console, and closet of toys for the little kids. Bring the family dog to our dog-friendly rental with lots of space to play fetch and swim in the lake. Nearby South Haven (15 min) offers access to the big lake and a variety of dining/entertainment options. The Fennville area (25 min) is a gastro tourist's delight with farm-to-table restaurants, wineries, breweries, and cideries, including apple picking. The popular Saugatuck (30 min) has art galleries, shopping, and more dining options. Walk to the best blueberry picking in the United States at the end of the fire lane. (Late June - early Aug)

Summary: This is a lovely wooded property- we loved the lake access and using the kayaks and paddleboard. Main house is very nice, although I'd love to add a floor lamp and some decor to the great room- it's beautiful during the day to look at the lake but a bit sad to sit in at night. The guest house, although very cute and modern, was not my favorite. My husband and I stayed in it during our week while our older teens stayed in the house. The guest house is very damp- I had to change our towels every day because they never dried. There are also a lot of bugs - I made my husband go in the bathroom every night to kill all the spiders and clear out all the webs and bugs stuck in them but they all came back the next day. A dehumidifier and access to a vacuum would have helped. To me, it felt like a step up from "glamping" - if you are ok with that, you'll love it. For me, a couple nights would have been ok, but a whole week out there was a bit much. Should have put our son out there - he wouldn't have cared lol. It was a bit farther from South Haven than I had anticipated- plan on a 20 minute drive to anything. There are no places to eat dinner out in Grand Junction so be prepared for a drive if you like to eat out on vacation like we do. Overall it was a great family place for a vacation and my teens loved it! We loved South Haven too!

Summary: Great spot! Had everything we needed for our party of 8 plus our dogs. Nice addition having the kayaks and paddleboard to enjoy on the lake, fire pit and plenty of outdoor seating. Hot tub was a nice treat. and the Tiny house was well appointed and a great escape. Quiet retreat nestled in a wooded lot. Plenty of space indoors for everyone to relax. Eventhough there are homes on either side, (and not directly next to the house) it felt very private. Close to downtown South Haven which had plenty of spots to eat, shop, wander, and enjoy the lake. Quaint little town. Only downside was not enough substantial lighting in the living room and trouble getting lights to work. Lots of switches that didn't appear to connect to anything. Would love to return, we truly enjoyed it!

Summary: This was a nice property to with lake access to super calm and quiet North Lake. You’re within 30 minutes of South Haven with both South Beach and North Beach, as well as Douglas and Saugatuck for fun day trips. In-law suite/tiny house is great for the grandparents. A few easy fixes would really improve the stay - better rugs in the doorways for catching sand, better lighting throughout, a pull down shade on the tiny house door window and a dehumidifier in there too. Overall a great place for a west Michigan getaway.

Summary: We loved our stay here for 4 days. House was clean and kitchen appliances were great for cooking and staying at the house. Close drive to South Haven beach as well. Only complaint is that the house must have some mold or build up of allergens from pets maybe. All of us were coughing, sneezing, and feeling our allergies act up when we were in the house all day. Otherwise, great stay and spot for a long weekend!

Summary: I cannot say enough about this property! It was perfect for my husband and me as our goal was to get away and relax. But this property is also perfect for families with kids or those with dogs. We are so glad that we went to the house before the store as this is the most well appointed VRBO in which we have ever stayed. The welcome basket was such a lovely touch! They truly thought of everything. We enjoyed the quiet area and the peaceful lake. We saw deer and the smallest, sweetest fawn who decided to wade into the lake. We sat on the end of the dock each morning with our coffee and had an up close view of our own personal aquarium (or a fisherman's dream). We also witnessed a muskrat swimming by one day. We took the kayaks out on the lake and had it to ourselves. The hot tub was a nightly must. And it was cool enough that we enjoyed a bonfire one night. The hammock provided a perfect place to read. The remodel and decor were straight out of HGTV. The small cottage was adorable and would be perfect for a mother-in-law or a young couple traveling with family. For makeup wearers, you will want to use the bathroom in the small cottage or bring a lighted mirror as the main bathroom is just a bit dark for applying makeup. But we loved the large bathroom and the walk-in shower. Close to so many beach towns, you will never run out of things to do or restaurants to visit. It truly was the perfect stay and exactly what we needed. Thank you!

Summary: We had such an amazing experience at Blueberry Pines! We are already excited to stay next year. The cottage was the perfect spot for my Nana, she loved having her own space. We also had the family dogs with us. A lot of properties allow dogs, but this was truly a dog friendly stay! The only thing we had some trouble with was figuring out what light switches went to what and we couldn’t get the string lights on the patio to work. But overall an excellent stag and we will be back!

Summary: We had a small girls weekend/getaway and this spot looked wonderful but turned out to be PERFECT. The house is gorgeous and immaculate with so much room, kitchen is well stocked since we cooked a lot, and the hot tub and surrounding lake was all we needed for the ultimate R&R. Thank you!

Summary: The house was exactly as pictured and in a beautiful wooded area next to a lake. It had a lovely deck with a view of the lake and a separate cottage with kitchen and bath in it. Kitchen in main house was well appointed with cookware, dishes etc. There were bowls and long tie outs for the dog as well as kayaks. Living room furniture was a bit worn and some dog poop on the grounds but these were minor issues. Highly recommend.
