Positive: The Boat House is just amazing! Comfy, spacious, brighty, quiet... everything is perfect to feel like in your own home at the Faroes. The most impressive are the views from both sides of the house: the fjord and Eysturoy Island one side, and the village of Hosvik with its waterfalls other side. Incredible all the work that Gunnbjorn and his family have done rebuilding the boat house after a storm destroyed the original one. Now the Boat House looks so pretty and gorgeous! Perfect for a road trip around all the Faroe Islands because it is just in the middle of Streymoy.
Negative: The bed and the pillows were not comfortable for us...

Positive: Great location and view. Perfect apartment for our need. Unlike some other accomondations this was cosy because it felt like it was built and equipped for owner familys own summer cottage. We loved it.

Positive: Newly built boathouse with great view and all the comfort needed, which is especially nice on a rainy day. The host is very easy going and provided very good support for special requests.
Negative: Unfortunately there is no washing machine, which should be included in this price range. Luckily the host helped very well to find a good solution, but ideally one should be able to do the washing themselves. Otherwise very well!

Positive: The views!! On either end of the boathouse we enjoyed stunning views of the landscape and the charming town of Hósvik. Our stay was fantastic, the space was so bright, clean, peaceful and comfortable. Gunnbjørn was a wonderful host, we loved meeting him and learning about the history of the boathouse. Watching the locals row their boats from the balcony in the evenings was a treat, and I took incredible pictures of the sunrise every morning. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the Faroe Islands...we hope to return someday!!

Positive: The accommodation is well set up and insulated. Adequate heating. Facing a great lake view and a lovely village as a backdrop. The host was friendly and hospitable, and accommodated our check-in time with excellent communication via WhatsApp. Great view both front and back of the house / shed.
Negative: I strongly recommend that the host should consider putting a washing machine in the basement of the accommodation. There lacks adequate laundry facilities on Faroe Islands, but guests doing hiking etc can expect muddy pants or sweaty undies to be washed. It is interesting that there is a clothes dryer in the basement but not a washing machine. The blackout curtains don't fully black out the lights, but it's not a major issue. It is next to a rowing club, and sometimes rowing happened at 10pm with some yelling, but the noise level was not serious, and soon became quiet. Otherwise I really like it. PS: the price is not cheap but that's Faroe.
