The region offers authentic Italian food and wine experiences, a perfect complement to visiting the bustling city of Venice. Positive: Cottage Mora on the Agriturismo property Borgo Giustiniani is a gem. Four adults find plenty of space, four good beds and two nice bathrooms. Everything was really clean. The kitchen offers many plates and glasses, and is reasonably well equipped with pots and pans; there is a gas stove, a huge fridge, a dishwasher and even a washing machine, and the huge barbecue outside the house is bliss. You only need to bring a kitchen towel and a sponge for cleaning the dishes, both was not provided. We loved the extension which kept the midges out (at least to some extent) and the lovely little pool just behind a row of bushes. The property is very secluded in the middle of nowhere, which was perfect for us - but might not be desirable for others. We drove to the train station in Rovigo (free parking spaces) and used the trains to get to the bigger cities around, which worked fine for us.

Negative: There was nothing we disliked. The old Roman road that leads to the property can be dodgy to drive on, but it is an amazing feature of the wonderful property and you'll find out quickly how not to scrape the bottom of your car. Borgo Giustiniani is set in acres of fields and comes with lots of birds in the area (cocks, pheasants) that can also be heard at night. We did not bother, but other visitors might not enjoy them.
